Cristina Del Valle
Cristina del Valle (born 1 August 1960) is a Spanish singer and activist. Biography Cristina del Valle was born in Oviedo, Asturias, Spain. In 1980, she went to Madrid to study criminology and since 1978, she has worked in several social action groups, NGOs (Ayora, Solidarios, Apram, and others) and left-wing political parties which worked in support of human rights, for the Sahrawi people or against domestic violence. As a singer, she started with the band Vodebil, but she released her first solo-album in 1989, ''Cris''. In 1991, after meeting her sentimental partner Alberto Comesaña, the couple decided to launch the musical duo Amistades Peligrosas, which grew to great success. The group split in 1996, but returned in 2003 with the album ''La larga espera''. She has also collaborated in several musical projects like ''Tatuaje'', where she played ''María de la O''. Oviedo
Oviedo (; ast, Uviéu ) is the capital city of the Principality of Asturias in northern Spain and the administrative and commercial centre of the region. The Unión General de Trabajadores (UGT, General Union of Workers) is a major Spanish trade union, historically affiliated with the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE). History The UGT was founded 12 August 1888 by Pablo Iglesias Posse in Mataró (Barcelona), with Marxist socialism as its ideological basis, despite its statutory apolitical status. Until its nineteenth Congress in 1920, it did not consider class struggle as a basic principle of trade union action. Being a member of the UGT implies an affiliation to the PSOE and vice versa. José Ángel Hevia Velasco, known professionally as Hevia (born October 11, 1967 in Villaviciosa, Asturias), is a Spanish bagpiper – specifically, an Asturian gaita player. He commonly performs with his sister, María José, on drums. In 1992 he was awarded first prize for solo bagpipes at the Festival Interceltique de Lorient, Brittany. Possibly his most recognisable composition is the 1998 piece ''Busindre Reel'', from his first album ''Tierra de Nadie''. Hevia is known for helping invent a special brand of MIDI electronic bagpipes, which he is often seen playing live. The instrument was developed with Alberto Arias (pupil and computer programmer) and the electronic technician Miguel Dopico.
