Courtney Kruger
Courtney Keith Kruger (born 18 February 1988) is a South African-born batsman who has played two One Day Internationals for Hong Kong. Kruger made his One Day International debut in the 2008 Asia Cup, playing in Hong Kong's games against Pakistan and India, but scored just 0 and 3. Cricket career Courtney Kruger made his Hong Kong debut in 2004, aged sixteen, after finding moderate success in the ACC Fast Track Tournament, playing only one of Hong Kong's matches as they finished second behind the United Arab Emirates. He had to wait almost two years for his next cap, which came to him in the 2006 Trophy, where he played in all of Hong Kong's matches in their run to the final, earning Hong Kong their second Asia Cup appearance. Kruger himself had little impact with the team but he was being talked about as a leadership prospect already. Batsman
In cricket, batting is the act or skill of hitting the ball with a bat to score runs and prevent the loss of one's wicket. Abscess
An abscess is a collection of pus that has built up within the tissue of the body. Signs and symptoms of abscesses include redness, pain, warmth, and swelling. The swelling may feel fluid-filled when pressed. The area of redness often extends beyond the swelling. Carbuncles and boils are types of abscess that often involve hair follicles, with carbuncles being larger. They are usually caused by a bacterial infection. ACC Twenty20 Cup
The ACC Twenty20 Cup was a 20-over cricket tournament organised by the Asian Cricket Council (ACC). The tournament did not include the ACC members who were full members of the International Cricket Council (ICC) during the years in which it was held (Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, and Sri Lanka), instead featuring the best associate and affiliate members. Matches at the tournament were not accorded official Twenty20 or Twenty20 International status. The inaugural ACC Twenty20 Cup in 2007 was jointly won by Afghanistan and Oman. From 2011, the tournament has been part of the qualification process for the ICC World Twenty20. The four top-ranked teams at the 2011 and 2013 tournaments qualified for the next World Twenty20 Qualifier. Asian Cricket Council
The Asian Cricket Council also known as ACC is a cricket organisation which was established in 1983, to promote and develop the sport of cricket in Asia. Subordinate to the International Cricket Council, the council is the continent's regional administrative body, and currently consists of 26 member associations. Jay Shah is the current president of Asian Cricket Council. History The council was formed as the Asian Cricket Conference in New Delhi, India, on 19 September 1983, with the original members being Bangladesh, India, Malaysia, Pakistan, Singapore, and Sri Lanka. Changing its name to the present in 1995. Until 2003, the headquarters of the council were rotated biennially amongst the presidents' and secretaries' home countries. Jamie Atkinson
James John Atkinson (born August 1990) is an international cricketer who plays cricket for Hong Kong. He also captained the Hong Kong cricket team before stepping down in May 2015. A wicket-keeper, he has also represented Hong Kong at Under-19s level, and was selected as part of their squad for the 2010 U-19 Cricket World Cup. He was the first player (either male or female) born in the 1990s to play in ODI cricket as he made his debut at the age of 17 in 2008 against Pakistan during the 2008 Asia Cup. His father Steve played Minor Counties cricket. In 2014, Atkinson captained the Hong Kong team in their first global tournament, the World T20 in Bangladesh, defeating the hosts in their final match after two losses. Nadeem Ahmed
Nadeem Ahmed (born 28 September 1987) is a Pakistani-born Hong Kong cricketer who appeared in one One Day International against Pakistan in 2004; he bowled 10 overs without taking a wicket and scored 1. He also appeared in two first-class matches in the 2005 ICC Intercontinental Cup taking three wickets. In December 2017, he finished as the joint-leading wicket-taker in the 2015–17 ICC World Cricket League Championship, with 24 wickets in 11 matches. In August 2018, he was named in Hong Kong's squad for the 2018 Asia Cup Qualifier tournament. Hong Kong won the qualifier tournament, and he was then named in Hong Kong's squad for the 2018 Asia Cup. Irfan Ahmed (born 20 November 1989) is a Pakistani-born international cricketer who has played four One Day Internationals and three Twenty20 Internationals for Hong Kong. In January 2016 he was provisionally suspended by the International Cricket Council after a breach of their Anti-Corruption Code. In April he was the ICC suspended him for two years and six months, following his admission to the charge. In October 2018, he was charged with a further nine offences under the ICC Anti-Corruption Code. In August 2019, the ICC banned him for life from all forms of cricket.
