Corey Shervill
Corey Shervill (born 19 March 1998) is an Australian professional basketball player for the Lakeside Lightning of the NBL1 West. He played three seasons of college basketball in the United States for the St. Edward's Hilltoppers before joining the Perth Wildcats of the National Basketball League (NBL) in 2020, where he spent three seasons. In 2017, he won the SBL Most Improved Player Award while playing for the Lakeside Lightning. Early life and career Shervill was born and raised in Perth, Western Australia. He attended Aquinas College, where he earned a bronze medal at the Australian National School Championships. He played basketball as a junior for the Willetton Tigers. In 2016, Shervill debuted in the State Basketball League (SBL) for the Lakeside Lightning, averaging 5.42 points and 3.85 rebounds in 26 games. The Perth Wildcats are an Australian professional basketball team based in Perth, Western Australia. The Wildcats compete in the National Basketball League (Australia), National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at Perth Arena, RAC Arena, known colloquially as "The Jungle". After three years of strong lobbying to the NBL, the creation of a national basketball team in Perth finally occurred in 1982. The Westate Wildcats were established and played out of the 800-seat Perry Lakes Basketball Stadium. NCAA Division II
NCAA Division II (D-II) is the intermediate-level division of competition in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). It offers an alternative to both the larger and better-funded Division I and to the scholarship-free environment offered in Division III. NBL1 North, formerly the Queensland Basketball League (QBL), is a semi-professional basketball league in Queensland and Northern Territory, Australia, comprising both a men's and women's competition. In 2020, Basketball Queensland partnered with the National Basketball League (NBL) to bring NBL1 to Queensland. Tai Jack Webster (born 29 May 1995) is a New Zealand professional basketball player for JL Bourg Basket of the LNB Élite. After starting his career in New Zealand, Webster played college basketball for the Nebraska Cornhuskers, earning second-team All-Big Ten as a senior in 2017. Jones Fracture
A Jones fracture is a broken bone in a specific part of the fifth metatarsal of the foot between the base and middle part that is known for its high rate of delayed healing or nonunion. It results in pain near the midportion of the foot on the outside. There may also be bruising and difficulty walking. Onset is generally sudden. The fracture typically occurs when the toes are pointed and the foot bends inwards. This movement may occur when changing direction while the heel is off the ground such in dancing, tennis, or basketball. Diagnosis is generally suspected based on symptoms and confirmed with X-rays. Melbourne United is an Australian professional basketball team based in Melbourne, Victoria. United compete in the National Basketball League (NBL) and play their home games at John Cain Arena.
