Copa LFP - FPF
The Copa LFP - FPF, also known as the Copa LFP, will be an annual football cup competition in Peru. The tournament will be contested between 36 teams of the Liga 1, Liga 2 and Liga 3. The winners will qualify for the following year's Copa Sudamericana. History Peru has never had an official domestic cup competition. Multiple attempts were made but none were successful, with many competitions being made every few years and lasting only a couple seasons. The Torneo del Inca and Copa Bicentenario were the two predecessors of the tournament but were dissolved after numerous cancellations by the Peruvian Football Federation. In 2024, the FPF announced that in 2025 there will be a new cup competition in Peru, initially called Copa de la Liga Peruana. Peruvian Football Federation
The Peruvian Football Federation ( or ) is the body that governs Association football in Peru. It was founded on August 23, 1922, and affiliated with FIFA in 1924. It is a member of CONMEBOL since 1925, and directly oversees the Peru national football team, futsal team youth teams, Peruvian Primera División, and the amateur leagues. Copa Sudamericana
The CONMEBOL Sudamericana, also known as Copa Sudamericana (; ), is an annual international club football competition organized by CONMEBOL, the governing body of football in South America, since 2002. It is the second-most prestigious club competition in South American football. CONCACAF clubs were invited between 2004 and 2008. The CONMEBOL Sudamericana began in 2002, replacing the separate competitions Copa Merconorte and Copa Mercosur (that had replaced Copa CONMEBOL) by a single competition. It is a semi-professional and promotional division organized by the Peruvian Football Federation since 2025. The Torneo del Inca was a football competition in Peru played by the football clubs of the Primera División. It was founded in 2011 under the name Torneo Intermedio and was played as a domestic football cup competition between clubs of the first and second division in addition to amateur clubs from smaller leagues that compete in the Copa Perú.
