Commander Steel
Commander Steel (also known as Captain Steel, Citizen Steel and Sergeant Steel) is the name of three superheroes appearing in media published by DC Comics, all members of the same family. The first Steel appeared in ''Steel, The Indestructible Man'' #1 (1978), and was created by Gerry Conway and Don Heck. His stories were set in World War II. The two later characters called Steel are his grandsons. Nate Heywood / Steel, his grandfather Henry Heywood / Commander Steel, and Nate's father Hank Heywood all appear in ''Legends of Tomorrow'', portrayed by Nick Zano, Matthew MacCaull, and Thomas F. Alex Ross
Nelson Alexander Ross (born January 22, 1970) is an American comic book creator, comic book writer and artist known primarily for his painted interiors, covers, and design work. He first became known with the 1994 miniseries ''Marvels'', on which he collaborated with writer Kurt Busiek for Marvel Comics. He has since done a variety of projects for both Marvel and DC Comics, such as the 1996 miniseries ''Kingdom Come (comics), Kingdom Come'', which he also cowrote. Since then he has done covers and character designs for Busiek's series ''Astro City'', and various projects for Dynamite Entertainment. His feature film work includes concept and narrative art for ''Spider-Man (2002 film), Spider-Man'' (2002) and ''Spider-Man 2'' (2004), and DVD packaging art for the M. Captain America
Captain America is a superhero created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby who appears in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in '' Captain America Comics'' #1, published on December 20, 1940, by Timely Comics, a corporate predecessor to Marvel. Captain America's civilian identity is Steven "Steve" Rogers, a frail man enhanced to the peak of human physical perfection by an experimental " super-soldier serum" after joining the United States Army to aid the country's efforts in World War II. Equipped with an American flag–inspired costume and a virtually indestructible shield, Captain America and his sidekick Bucky Barnes clashed frequently with the villainous Red Skull and other members of the Axis powers. Earth-One
Earth-One (also Earth-1) is a name given to two fictional universes (the Pre-Crisis and Post-Crisis versions of the same universe) that have appeared in American comic book stories published by DC Comics. The first Earth-One was given its name in ''Justice League of America'' #21 (August 1963), after ''The Flash'' #123 (September 1961) explained how Golden Age (Earth-Two) versions of characters such as the Flash (Jay Garrick) could appear in stories with their Silver Age counterparts (Barry Allen). This Earth-One continuity included the DC Silver Age heroes, including the Justice League of America. Earth-One, along with the four other surviving Earths (Earth-Two, Earth-Four, Earth-S, and Earth-X) of the DC Multiverse, are merged into one in the 1985 miniseries ''Crisis on Infinite Earths''. Baron Blitzkrieg is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. Publication history The character (also known as Baron Reiter and simply the Baron) was created by Gerry Conway and Don Heck, and first appeared in ''World's Finest Comics'' #246 (September 1977). Fictional character biography Baron Reiter was originally a vicious German army officer during World War II who was blinded and disfigured when a concentration camp prisoner threw a bottle in his face. German scientists experimented on the Nazi which restored his sight, but not his appearance. Nonetheless, he is given superhuman strength, invulnerability, optical energy beams, and the ability to fly. While he can initially manifest each of these abilities one at a time, he underwent training to incorporate these abilities together. The New 52
The New 52 was the 2011 revamp and relaunch by DC Comics of its entire Line (comics), line of ongoing monthly superhero American comic books, comic books. Following the conclusion of the "Flashpoint (comics), Flashpoint" Fictional crossover, crossover storyline, DC cancelled all its existing titles and debuted 52 new series in September 2011. Among the renumbered series were ''Action Comics'' and ''Detective Comics'', which had retained their original numbering since the 1930s. The relaunch included changes to the publishing format; for example, print and digital comics began to be released on the same day. New titles were released to bring the number of ongoing monthly series to 52. JSA All-Stars
The Justice Society of America (JSA) is a superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. It was conceived by editor Sheldon Mayer and writer Gardner Fox during the Golden Age of Comic Books. It first appeared in ''All Star Comics'' #3 (Winter 1940–1941), making it the first team of superheroes in comic books. Its original members were Doctor Fate (Kent Nelson), Doctor Fate, Hourman (Rex Tyler), Hourman, the Jim Corrigan, Spectre, Sandman (Wesley Dodds), Sandman, Atom (Al Pratt), Atom, the Flash (Jay Garrick), Flash, Alan Scott, Green Lantern and Hawkman (Carter Hall), Hawkman.
