Sergio Bergonzelli (25 August 1924 – 24 September 2002) was an Italian director, screenwriter, producer and actor. Life and career Born in Alba, Cuneo, Bergonzelli graduated in Philosophy, then he started working as an actor with the stage name Siro Carme. After being assistant and second unit director in a number of genre films, in 1960 he made his debut as director and screenwriter with ''Seven in the Sun''. Also a film producer, Bergonzelli was the first to produce Spaghetti Western films entirely shot in Italy. In the 1970s he specialized in the erotic genre. ''Cineriz'' was an Italian media company, involved primarily in the production and distribution of films, founded in the early 1950s by the businessman Angelo Rizzoli. Gian Piero Reverberi
Gian Piero Reverberi (born 29 July 1939 in Genoa) is an Italian pianist, composer, arranger, conductor, and entrepreneur. Biography After obtaining Diplomas in piano and composition from the Paganini Conservatory in Genoa, Reverberi worked in a wide range of media, including TV themes, spaghetti Western soundtracks to pop and rock records, where alongside Robert Mellin he composed the memorable theme music to the children's TV series '' The Adventures of Robinson Crusoe'' in 1964. He created the Rondò Veneziano ensemble. He also worked with his brother Gianfranco Reverberi on the song "Last Man Standing" (or "Nel cimitero di Tucson") from the soundtrack of '' Django, Prepare a Coffin (Preparati la bara!)'', which was sampled in Gnarls Barkley's hit "Crazy". Spaghetti Western
The Spaghetti Western is a broad subgenre of Western films produced in Europe. It emerged in the mid-1960s in the wake of Sergio Leone's film-making style and international box-office success. The term was used by foreign critics because most of these Westerns were produced and directed by Italians. Leone's films and other core Spaghetti Westerns are often described as having eschewed, criticized, or even "demythologized" many of the conventions of traditional U.S. Westerns. This was partly intentional and partly the context of a different cultural background. Mino Reitano
Beniamino "Mino" Reitano (December 7, 1944 – January 27, 2009) was an Italian singer, songwriter and actor. Reitano was born in Fiumara, a small village in Calabria. His father, an employee at the local railway station, was very passionate about music, and encouraged all his sons to learn to play an instrument. After a spell in the local brass band, Reitano moved to Reggio Calabria, where he studied at the Francesco Cilea Conservatory for eight years, learning piano, trumpet, and violin. In the late 1950s, Reitano moved with his brothers to Hamburg, where they formed a rock'n'roll band, Benjamin & His Brothers. They often played at the Star-Club, sharing the bill with Rory Storm, Tony Sheridan and The Beatles. Marisa Anna Solinas (30 May 1939 – 12 February 2019), best known as Marisa Solinas, was an Italian actress and singer. Life Born in Genoa to a Sardinian father and a Tuscan mother from Garfagnana, Marisa Solinas made her film debut in 1961, but her career was launched the following year when she was chosen by Mario Monicelli to be the main actress in "''Renzo e Luciana''", one of the four episodes of '' Boccaccio '70''; the same year she appeared in Bernardo Bertolucci's film debut, ''La commare secca'' and acted on stage in ''Fogli d'album'' at the Festival dei Due Mondi. George Wang (actor)
George Wang (born Wang Yie, 12 November 1918 – 27 March 2015) was a Taiwanese actor and producer who appeared in a multitude of Italian films. Biography Born in Dandong, Liaoning, Wang enrolled the Shanghai drama school China Film Studio in 1938 and the following year he made his film debut in ''Defending Our Homeland'' (''保家鄉''). In 1949, Wang moved to Taiwan, becoming one of the most important stars in the early years of Taiwanese cinema. At the end of the 1950s he moved to Italy, where he was a very active character actor in genre films, mainly spy films, adventure films and Spaghetti Westerns, being mostly cast in roles of villains. Thanks to his good knowledge of English, he was also active in a number of English language productions, notably appearing in Nicholas Ray's ''55 Days at Peking''.
