Sir Joscelyn Ambrose Cramer Coghill, 7th Baronet (30 September 1902 – 6 June 1983) was an Anglo-Irish actor and aristocrat, being the 7th Baronet of Coghill (1778) (1981–1983). He was born in Skibbereen in County Cork in Ireland in 1902, the youngest of three sons of Elizabeth Hildegarde Augusta ''née'' Somerville (1867–1954) and the Irish painter Sir Egerton Bushe Coghill, 5th Baronet Coghill (1853–1921). Jon Coghill (born 26 August 1971) is an Australian drummer best known for his work with the rock band Powderfinger, although he has also toured with Regurgitator. Coghill replaced Powderfinger's original drummer, Steven Bishop, in 1991. At this time, Powderfinger had not made any recordings, and as such, Coghill has been the group's drummer for all of their releases. Biography Coghill attended Nambour State High School in Nambour, Queensland where his father was a Physics teacher, graduating in 1988. While in high school, Coghill's ambitions were not directed towards music, as he expressed an interest in football or surfing. Nevill Henry Kendal Aylmer Coghill (19 April 1899 – 6 November 1980) was an Anglo-Irish literary scholar, known especially for his modern-English version of Geoffrey Chaucer's ''Canterbury Tales''. He was an associate of the literary discussion group the 'Inklings', which included J. R. R. Tolkien and C. S. Lewis. Marmaduke Coghill (1673–1738) was a member of the Parliament of Ireland for Dublin University, judge of the Prerogative Court and Chancellor of the Exchequer of Ireland. Kenneth Alistair Coghill (born 10 November 1944 in Mansfield, Victoria) is a former Australian politician. Life and career Educated at Caulfield Grammar School, Coghill studied Veterinary Science at the University of Melbourne and worked as a veterinarian before serving on the Wodonga City Council. He entered the Victorian Legislative Assembly as a Labor Party Member for Werribee in the 1979 State elections, and served as the Speaker of the Victorian Legislative Assembly from 1988 to 1992. John Bruce Coghill Jr. (born August 15, 1950) is an American politician who served as a member of the Alaska Senate, representing North Pole and other communities in the Fairbanks North Star Borough. First elected to the Alaska House of Representatives in 1998, he was appointed to his Senate seat in 2009 and was the Senate's majority leader from 2013 to 2016. Anna (Annie) Louisa Walker (23 June 1836 in Staffordshire – 7 July 1907 in Bath, Somerset) was an English and Canadian teacher and author. She wrote five novels and two collections of poetry and edited an autobiography. Her poem "The Night Cometh" provides the text of the popular hymn "Work, for the night is coming". Both were members of the Alaskan Independence Party.
