"Shooting Star" is a song by British happy hardcore band Bang!, written by Nick Arnold. It was released as a 12-inch vinyl single in the United Kingdom in January 1998. The song later experienced success when covered by English electronic music duo Flip & Fill in 2002. Flip & Fill version "Shooting Star" was covered by Flip & Fill and released as their second single on 15 July 2002. Produced by Flip & Fill, the track's lead vocals are performed by Karen Parry. Upon its release, the song became Flip & Fill's highest-charting single in the United Kingdom, peaking at number three on the UK Singles Chart. The Prototypes
The Prototypes is a British drum and bass project by producer Nick White. Until May 2023, it was a duo alongside fellow producer Chris Garvey. Founded in Brighton, England in 2007, they released their first singles on labels such as Formation Records and Viper Recordings, and from 2011 to 2013 were signed to Shogun Audio. They have released a number of EPs, and have received radio and live PA support from DJs such as Matrix & Futurebound. Signing exclusively to Viper Recordings in 2014, in the following months the duo released a number of promo singles for a debut album. Their resulting single, "Pale Blue Dot" ranked as Beatport's second top selling drum and bass track of the year. Christina Novelli (born 27 November 1986) is an English DJ, vocalist and songwriter who resides in London. She is the daughter of Jean-Christophe Novelli, a French celebrity chef. Career Early career At the age of 17, influenced by the music of Motown, Johnny Cash, Elvis, Tina Turner, Lauryn Hill, Novelli started fronting her own bands. Drum and bass (commonly abbreviated as DnB, D&B, or D'n'B) is a genre of electronic dance music characterised by fast Break (music)#Breakbeat (element of music), breakbeats (typically 165–185 Tempo, beats per minute) with heavy Bass (music), bass and sub-bass lines, Sampling (music), samples, and synthesizers. Alf Bamford, known professionally as Technikal, is a British hard trance and hard dance disc jockey and record producer. Biography Bamford started becoming known as a "cutting edge" hard dance DJ , when his single "Annihilation" garnered significant airplay on the BBC Radio 1 John Peel show. The Tidy Boys are a UK-based hard dance music duo formed of Andy Pickles and Amadeus Mozart. They are known for creating the Tidy Trax record label, and their hard house DJ and production work.
