Technikore
Alf Bamford, known professionally as Technikal, is a British hard trance and hard dance disc jockey and record producer. Biography Bamford started becoming known as a "cutting edge" hard dance DJ , when his single "Annihilation" garnered significant airplay on the BBC Radio 1 John Peel show. Bamford, as well as being known under the alias Technikal, also releases music under the further alternate name Technikore. Technikal reached number 10 in the UK official dance music chart in 2005, with his single "Global Panic/System Shock". As Technikore Bamford has performed on BBC Radio 1, including a guest mix for the Kutski show in 2011. In January 2012 Technikal released the mix album ''Resonate 6 - The Brutal Sound of Hard Trance'' on the Tidy Trax label. Andy Farley
Andy Farley (born 1966 or 1967) is a British hard house disc jockey and record producer from Tamworth, Staffordshire. Known as the "King of Hard House", Farley plays live sets and produces records, a number of which have achieved success in the UK Dance Chart. Biography Farley, who was aged 35 in 2002, is from Tamworth in Staffordshire. He has held DJ residencies at nightclubs including Frantic, Sundissential, Progress and Storm. Farley also performs at music festivals, including in 2001 headlining Dance Valley, Gatecrasher and Godskitchen. He has produced and released music on a number of labels, including Tidy Trax and Nukleuz. The media has dubbed Farley the "King of Hard House". Along with fellow DJ Lisa Pin-Up, Farley mixed the Nukleuz compilation album series Hard House Nation. Hard Trance
Hard trance is a subgenre of trance music that originated in Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands in the early 1990s as the Breakbeat hardcore production community began to diversify into new and different styles of electronic music, all influenced by hard house, new beat, happy hardcore and jungle music. The popularity of hard trance peaked during the late 1990s and has since faded in favor of newer forms of trance. Hard trance is often characterized by strong, hard (or even downpitch) kicks, fully resonant basses and an increased amount of reverberation applied to the main beat. Melodies vary from 140 to 180 BPM and it can feature plain instrumental sound in early compositions, with the latter ones tending to implement side-chaining techniques from progressive trance on digital synthesizers. Tidy Trax, currently known as Tidy, is a record label based in the United Kingdom. Founded in 1995 by Andy Pickles and Amadeus Mozart, Tidy is known for promoting a style of hard house that is both fun and high tempo. It has featured a roster of hard house and trance artists, and hosts regular live events including the Tidy Weekender. Since 2005 the Tidy label also includes Tidy Two and Untidy. History The Tidy Trax label was founded in 1995 by Rotherham-based Andy Pickles and Amadeus Mozart, who are also jointly known as DJ producers the Tidy Boys. Pickles had previously worked on the Jive Bunny series of records, the financial success of which supported the foundation of the Tidy Trax label.
