Barclay Macbride Crenshaw (born July 7, 1971), who is known by the stage name Claude VonStroke, is an American house producer based in Los Angeles. He owned Dirtybird Records based in San Francisco. In July 2006 he released his debut album, ''Beware of the Bird''. He has produced a 'Fabric' mix, which was released in May 2009, and has also appeared on Pete Tong's Essential Mix Radio show in 2007, 2013, and 2020. The Electronic Music Awards is a music award show focused on electronic music genres that debuted on September 21, 2017, in Los Angeles. It was created by Paul Oakenfold and entertainment company Hunt & Crest and produced by L!ve Media. The show was live streamed via Twitter and Pluto TV and garnered 3.4 million views within 2.5 hours. The 2017 event was hosted by Hannah Rad, Matt Medved, Robin Schulz, and Vicky Vox. Kevin Maurice Saunderson (born September 5, 1964) is an American electronic dance music DJ and record producer. He is famous for being a member of a trio, along with Juan Atkins and Derrick May, who came to be known as the Belleville Three, who are often credited to being among the pioneers and originators of techno: in particular this act helped define Detroit techno, the earliest style of this music genre. The Rapture (band)
The Rapture was an American dance-punk revival band from New York City, formed in 1998. During their reunion, the band consisted of Luke Jenner (lead vocals, guitar), Vito Roccoforte (drums, percussion), and Gabriel Andruzzi (keyboards, bass, saxophone, percussion). The classic lineup (1999–2009) added Mattie Safer playing bass and sharing lead vocal duties with Jenner. Safer and Jenner's harmonized choruses became part of the signature sound of the band, featuring on several of the band’s more well known songs. The band mixed influences from many genres including dance-punk, post-punk, acid house, disco, and electronica.
