Cipher System
Cipher System is a Swedish melodic death metal band from Tjörn. The band formed under the name Eternal Grief in 1995. They changed their name in 2001 to Cipher System. The band released their first album ''Central Tunnel Eight'' by Lifeforce Records on 2 November 2004. After some years of silence the band spent several months between 2010 and 2011 to record a new album. The album was mixed at Studio Fredman and was entitled ''Communicate the Storms''. Shortly after the album was finished, it was announced that the band signed with Nuclear Blast Nuclear Blast Records is a German record label with subsidiary, subsidiaries located in Germany, the United States and Brazil. Tjörn
Tjörn () is the sixth largest island in Sweden, located on the Swedish west coast in the province of Bohuslän. The area of the island is , and the area of the municipality is . The population, as of 2017, was 15,774 people. Geography Tjörn is connected in the east to the town of Stenungsund on the mainland by the Tjörn Bridge, and to the island of Orust in the north by the Skåpesund bridge. The largest town is Skärhamn, and it is also the municipal capital. Other communities, many of which are fishing communities, include Rönnäng, Klädesholmen, and Kyrkesund. The peninsula of Mjörn has large shell banks. Climate Tjörn has a maritime climate influenced by its location off the coastline. Melodic death metal (also referred to as melodeath) is a subgenre of death metal that employs highly melodic guitar riffs, often borrowing from traditional heavy metal (including New Wave of British Heavy Metal). The genre features the heaviness of death metal but with highly melodic or harmonized guitar riffs and solos, and often features high-pitched shrieked vocals (differing from traditional death metal) alongside the low-pitched growls commonly featured in traditional death metal. Pioneered by the English heavy metal band Carcass with their 1993 album '' Heartwork'', melodic death metal developed further in Sweden (developed by bands like At the Gates, Dark Tranquillity, and In Flames) in the mid-1990s. Studio Fredman
Studio Fredman is a well-known recording studio in Gothenburg, Sweden, owned and operated by producer Fredrik Nordström. It is popular among Swedish metal bands, with artists such as At the Gates, Deathstars, Nightrage, Norwegian band Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Soilwork, Dark Tranquillity, In Flames, Zonaria, Machinae Supremacy, HammerFall, England's Bring Me the Horizon, A Breach of Silence, and Opeth recording multiple releases in the studio. Originally, it was located in Gothenburg, but by 2005, it was relocated to Hyssna about 30 miles outside Gothenburg. The original facility was also co-owned by In Flames vocalist, Anders Fridén. Jimmie Strimell
Jimmie Strimell (born 3 December 1980) is a Swedish death metal singer. Strimell is known for being a founding member, vocalist and songwriter of metal band Dead by April, as well as serving as frontman for Nightrage. Career In 2006, Strimell founded Dead by April with Pontus Hjelm, where he would serve as the band's vocalist and as a songwriter. Strimell became known for his growls, which were inspired by Pantera. Strimell's vocals caught the attention of other metal acts. After the departure of Tomas Lindberg, Greek-Swedish metal group Nightrage recruited Strimell to sing vocals on their 2007 album, ''A New Disease is Born''. Christian Älvestam (born 14 April 1976) is a Swedish vocalist, guitarist, bassist and drummer for several bands from Sweden. He is, however, best known as the former vocalist for the Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry.
