By Night
By Night is a Swedish extreme metal act from Falkenberg, Sweden, formed by André Gonzales (guitar), Simon Wien (guitar), and Per Qvarnström (drums) in 1999. After several line-up changes, bassist Henrik Persson joined and stayed, later on singer Christoffer Andersson as well. Two Demo (music), demos were recorded, ''By Night'' (2000) and ''Derelict'' (2001). In 2002, Christoffer Andersson left and was replaced by Adrian Westin, singer of the band Aggressive Serpent (now called Trendkill (band), Trendkill). The band recorded the demo ''Lamentation'', and was voted as the best unsigned band by Monster Magazine and Close-Up Magazine, Close-Up. In 2004, they signed with Lifeforce Records and released a split EP with Cipher System, ''Cipher System / By Night''. Since then they have released two albums, ''Burn the Flags'' in 2005 and ''A New Shape of Desperation'' in 2006. Falkenberg
Falkenberg is a locality and the seat of Falkenberg Municipality, Halland County, Sweden, with 27,813 inhabitants in 2019 (out of a municipal total of about 45,000). It is located at the mouth of river Ätran. The name consists of the Swedish words for falcon (''falk'') and mountain (''berg''). Falkenberg is a popular tourist destination in the summers, and the main beach of the town is Skrea strand. History In the early part of the 13th century the Danish king built a fort on the east shore of the river Ätran, which eventually would give the town its name. Halland was at that time part of Denmark. It is known that falconry was pursued in the area. Amon Amarth
Amon Amarth () are a Swedish melodic death metal band from Tumba, Sweden, Tumba, formed in 1992. The band take its name from the Sindarin name of Mount Doom, a volcano in J. R. R. Tolkien's Middle-earth. Their lyrics mostly deal with Viking mythology and history, and so they are sometimes labelled "Viking metal", though they are musically melodic death metal, a term the band also prefers. Children of Bodom was a Finnish melodic death metal band from Espoo. Formed in 1993 as Inearthed, the final line-up of the group upon their split in 2019 consisted of frontman Alexi Laiho, drummer Jaska Raatikainen, bassist Henkka Seppälä, keyboardist Janne Wirman and guitarist Daniel Freyberg. Betzefer () was an Israeli groove metal band originating from Maccabim-Re'ut. The band was formed up in 1998 and was signed to Roadrunner Records from 2005 to 2007. Betzefer is notable for becoming Israel's first Heavy metal music, heavy metal band to have released its debut album on a major heavy metal label. Betzefer's biggest influence is Slayer, while Pantera and Sepultura are also credited as being major influences. The band's second album was produced by Down (band), Down producer Warren Riker.
