Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev
Carolyn Christov-Bakargiev (born December 2, 1957) is an Italian-American writer, art historian, and exhibition maker who served as the Director of Castello di Rivoli Museo d'Arte Contemporanea in Turin in 2009 and from 2016 to 2023. She was also the founding Director of Fondazione Francesco Federico Cerruti from 2017 to 2023. She was Edith Kreeger Wolf Distinguished Visiting Professor in Art Theory and Practice at Northwestern University (2013–2019). She is the recipient of the 2019 Audrey Irmas Award for Curatorial Excellence. She is currently Honorary Guest Professor at FHNW University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern, Switzerland. Solveig Christov
Solveig Beda Christov (née Fredriksen; 29 October 1918 – 16 May 1984) was a Norwegian novelist, writer of short stories, and playwright. Early and personal life Solveig Fredriksen was born in Drammen as a daughter of electrician Fredrik Adolf Fredriksen and Solveig Henriette Henriksen. She was married three times, to Rolf Normann Bekke from 1941 to 1946, to businessman Paal Thinn Christophersen from 1947 to 1959, and to publisher Harald Grieg from 1960. She took the last name Christov as a pen name in 1949. Literary career Christov made her literary debut in 1949 with the novel ''Det blomstrer langs blindveien''. She followed up with the novels ''På veiene til og fra'' (1951) and ''Torso'' (1952), which is regarded as her literary breakthrough. Petko Christov
Petko Jordanov Christov, OFM Conv. (; 9 October 1950 – 14 September 2020) was a Bulgarian Catholic prelate who served as Bishop of Nicopolis from 1994 until his death in 2020. He was a member of the Order of Friars Minor Conventual. Biography Petko Jordanov Christov was born in Velcevo, Veliko Tarnovo. He studied at the Professional School of Engineering, Architecture and Geodesy ("Angel Popov") in Veliko Tarnovo, in the fields of civil engineering and architecture. From 1977 to 1985 in Bulgaria he studied to become a priest and was ordained on 15 December 1985 by Bishop Samuel Dzhundrin. In 1990 Christov gave his first vows in the order of Franciscans on 15 December 1993. He served in parishes in Belene and Tranchovitsa. On 18 October 1994 he was consecrated by Pope John Paul II as Bishop of Nicopolis. Vojtech Christov
Vojtech Christov (born 16 March 1945 in Vranov nad Topľou) is a former Czechoslovak association football, football referee. He is known for having refereed in two FIFA World Cups, one match in 1982 FIFA World Cup, 1982 (the opening game of the tournament between Belgium national football team, Belgium and Argentina national football team, Argentina) and one in 1986 FIFA World Cup, 1986. He was assistant referee in the 1982 FIFA World Cup Final. He also refereed two matches in the 1984 UEFA European Football Championship in France, including the UEFA Euro 1984 Final and one match in the Olympic Football Tournament 1980 in Moscow. Vít Christov (born August 30, 1996) is a Czech Republic, Czech professional ice hockey player. He is currently playing for HC RT TORAX Poruba 2011 of the 1st Czech Republic Hockey League (Maxa Liga). Christov made his Czech Extraliga debut playing with HC Oceláři Třinec during the 2014-15 Czech Extraliga season. In seasons 2015/2016, 2016/2017, 2017/2018, 2018/2019, 2021/2022 starting in team HC Frýdek-Místek (this team in season 2015/2016 advanced to the WSM Liga (now called Maxa Liga).
