Christopher Berneck
Christopher Berneck (born 10 July 1992) is a German figure skater. He won four senior international medals and became a two-time German Figure Skating Championships, German national bronze medalist (2011, 2015). Personal life Berneck was born on 10 July 1992 in Bad Säckingen, Germany. In 2015, he began studying fashion communication at Ryerson University in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Career Berneck started skating in 1998 at the ice rink in Herrischried, Black Forest, Germany. He initially competed for EHC Herrischried. In 1999, he and his family moved to Garmisch-Partenkirchen where he trained with Wolfgang Danne and Harold Williams (figure skater), Harold Williams. He represented SC Riessersee. Bad Säckingen
Bad Säckingen ( High Alemannic: ''Bad Säckinge'') is a rural town in the administrative district of Waldshut in the state of Baden-Württemberg in Germany. Black Forest
The Black Forest (german: Schwarzwald ) is a large forested mountain range in the state of Baden-Württemberg in southwest Germany, bounded by the Rhine Valley to the west and south and close to the borders with France and Switzerland. Short Program (figure Skating)
The short program of figure skating is the first of two segments of competitions, skated before the free skating program. It lasts, for both senior and junior singles and pair skaters, 2 minutes and 40 seconds. In synchronized skating, for both juniors and seniors, the short program lasts 2 minutes and 50 seconds. Vocal music with lyrics is allowed for all disciplines since the 2014-2015 season. Steven Cousins
Steven Cousins (born 24 May 1972) is a British former competitive men's singles figure skater. He is the 1993 Skate Canada International bronze medalist and an eight-time British national champion. He finished as high as 6th at the Olympics (1998), 7th at the World Championships (1998), and 4th at the European Championships ( 1996). Career Cousins began skating in 1978 after he and his brother pushed their parents to take them to an ice rink. Although he had a negative reaction at first ("We ended up going to the rink, and I hated it"), he eventually grew interested in figuring out how to jump and spin. He was also spurred on by sibling rivalry with his elder brother. Cousins is the youngest skater to win the British National Championships. Romy Kermer (later Oesterreich; born 28 July 1956) is a German figure skating coach and former competitive pair skater. With Rolf Oesterreich, she is the 1976 Olympic silver medalist. Personal life Romy Kermer was born on 28 July 1956 in Karl-Marx-Stadt ( Chemnitz), Bezirk Karl-Marx-Stadt, East Germany. After marrying Rolf Oesterreich in late 1976, she changed her name to Romy Oesterreich. Career Romy Kermer began skating in Karl-Marx-Stadt, where she became a pair skater. Early in her career, she competed with Tassilo Thierbach and Andreas Forner. 1972 she moved to Berlin and skated there at the club SC Dynamo Berlin. Her coach was Heidemarie Seiner-Walther. European Criterium
European Criterium is a series of international and inter-club figure skating competitions. First organised in the 1997–98 season, it is open to skaters who are members of European clubs. Age categories The competitions are organised in the following age categories: *Chicks (Girls and Boys), *Cubs (Girls and Boys - 8 and 9 years old), *Springs (Girls and Boys - 10 and 11 years old), *Debs (Girls and Boys - 12 and 13 years old), *Novices (Girls and Boys - 14 and 15 years old), *Juniors (Ladies and Boys) *Seniors.
