Chris Rhinehart
Chris Rhinehart is a programmer, game developer and co-founder of Human Head Studios. He is currently creative director at Roundhouse Studios. He started in 1994 in the game industry at the company Raven Software. He contributed to the programming of games such as ''Heretic (video game), Heretic, CyClones, Hexen: Beyond Heretic, Heretic: Shadow of the Serpent Riders, Necrodome, Take No Prisoners (video game), Take No Prisoners'' and ''Mageslayer'' alongside fellow developer Ben Gokey. In 1997, he left the company Raven and co-founded Human Head Studios alongside Paul MacArthur, Shane Gurno, Ben Gokey, James Sumwalt, and Ted Halsted. He worked on the titles ''Super Duelling Minivans, Rune (video game), Rune'' and the add-on ''Rune: Halls of Valhalla, Halls of Valhalla'', ''Blair Witch, Volume II: The Legend of Coffin Rock'' (installer) and most recently ''Prey (2006 video game), Prey''. Human Head Studios
Human Head Studios, Inc. was an American video game developer located in Madison, Wisconsin. History Human Head Studios was founded in October 1997 by a group of six developers formerly from Raven Software: Ben Gokey, Chris Rhinehart, Paul MacArthur, Ted Halsted, James Sumwalt, and Shane Gurno—later joined by game producer Tim Gerritsen as co-owner in June 1998. Regarding the origin of the studio's name, Gerritsen explained: "When the guys were thinking of leaving Raven Software, someone posted a message via e-mail that they had lost some money. This started people saying they had lost all sorts of things. One person posted that they had misplaced a bag of human heads and this gave the inspiration for the name." Prey 2
''Prey 2'' was a cancelled first-person shooter video game to be published by Bethesda Softworks and planned as a sequel to the 2006 video game ''Prey''. Though ''Prey 2'' was announced by 3D Realms in 2006, a few months after release of the first game, development work at Human Head Studios did not begin in earnest until 2009, after the rights for ''Prey'' had transferred from 3D Realms ultimately to ZeniMax Media, the parent company of Bethesda. Bethesda formally announced their title in early 2011, which revealed a change of the player's main character and of gameplay to a more open world game. Human Head quietly ceased development on the game in late 2011 for unstated reasons despite having progressed to a near alpha release state. Manhattan Project
The Manhattan Project was a research and development program undertaken during World War II to produce the first nuclear weapons. It was led by the United States in collaboration with the United Kingdom and Canada. From 1942 to 1946, the project was directed by Major General Leslie Groves of the United States Army Corps of Engineers, U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Nuclear physicist J. Robert Oppenheimer was the director of the Los Alamos Laboratory that designed the bombs. The Army program was designated the Manhattan District, as its first headquarters were in Manhattan; the name gradually superseded the official codename, Development of Substitute Materials, for the entire project.
