Chaitra
Chaitra () is a month of the Hindu calendar. In the standard Hindu calendar and India's national civil calendar, Chaitra is the first month of the year. It is the last month in the Bengali calendar, where it is called Choitro. Chaitra or Chait is also the last month in the Nepali calendar (the Vikram Samvat), where it commences in mid-March. Chittirai is the first month in the Tamil calendar. In the Sindhi calendar, this month is referred to as Chet and is marked by the celebration of the Cheti Chand (birth of Jhulelal, an incarnation of Vishnu). In the Vaishnava calendar, Vishnu governs this month. In solar religious calendars, Chaitra begins with the Sun's entry into Aries. In the more traditional reckoning, the first month commences in March or April of the Gregorian calendar, depending upon whether the adhika masa (extra month for alignment of lunar or solar calendar) was observed in the year. Sree Padmanabhadasa Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma , popularly known as Sree Chithira Thirunal (7 November 1912 – 20 July 1991), was the last ruling Maharaja of the Indian princely state of Travancore, in southern India until 1949 and later the Titular ruler, Titular Maharajah of Travancore until 1991. His reign is known for Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma#Maharajah of Travancore, several notable reforms that have indelible impact on the society and culture of Kerala. Sree Chithira Thirunal was the eldest son of Junior Maharani of Travancore, Sethu Parvathi Bayi, and Sri Pooram Nal Ravi Varma Koyi Thampuran of the Royal House of Kilimanoor. Rajesh Chithira is an Indian poet, short story writer and novelist who writes in Malayalam language. Born in Pathanamthitta, in the south Indian state of Kerala, he has published anthologies containing poems and short stories such as ''Unmathathakalude Crash Landingukal'', ''Tequila'', ''Ulipechu'' and ''Jigsaw Puzzle'' and a children's novel, ''Aadi and Athma''. He has received a number of awards which include Indian Ruminations Poetry Award, Bharat Murali Poetry Award, Galleria Award, Ezhuthola Award, Expatriate Book Trust Award, and Souhrudham Dot Com Award. Plot Hari and his parents as well as Bharathi and her parents settle for the holidays in the same hotel in Ooty. Hari and Bharathi get into several quarrels until they fall in love. Their parents, knowing their love affair, refuse to unite them. Later, the lovers elope and they try to commit suicide. The Meenakshi Tirukalyanam festival, also known as Chithirai Tiruviḻa or Meenakshi Kalyanam, is an annual Tamil Hindu celebration in the city of Madurai during the month of April.
