Chithirai Sevvaanam
''Chithirai Sevvaanam'' is a 2021 Indian Tamil-language crime drama film directed by Silva, starring Samuthirakani and Pooja Kannan. Produced by A. L. Vijay's Think Big Studios, it was released on 3 December 2021 on ZEE5. Synopsis When a man's daughter goes missing after a private video of her is leaked, he teams up with an upright cop to find her and bring the perpetrators to justice. Cast Production The film marked the directorial debut of stuntman Stunt Silva, and the acting debut of Pooja Kannan, the sister of actress Sai Pallavi. Rima Kallingal made a return to Tamil films through the project after a ten year hiatus. Silva was initially keen to debut with a comedy film but made ''Chithirai Sevvaanam'' at the request of his friend A. L. Vijay, who also wrote and produced the film. Stunt Silva
Stunt Silva is an Indian stunt actor, action director and stunt co-ordinator who has worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, Nepali, Hindi. He made his debut with the 2005 Telugu film '' Chatrapathi'', directed by S. S. Rajamouli and has since also made appearances in films, portraying a supporting antagonist. Career After training as a nurse at Stanley Medical College, Silva began working as a male nurse at hospitals in his home town of Tuticorin before joining Vijaya Health Centre in Chennai in 1990. He also pursued work as a peon in offices and dabbled in a transport business to keep a float financially. In 2002, he met a dance choreographer from the film industry who advised him to sign up as a background dancer in films. Subramaniam Siva is an Indian film director and actor who works in the Tamil film industry. Career Directing Subramaniam Siva made his debut with the romantic comedy ''Thiruda Thirudi'' in 2003, featuring Dhanush and Chaya Singh. 2019 Pollachi Sexual Assault Case
The Pollachi sexual assault case refers to a case of rape and extortion of numerous women by a gang in Pollachi, Coimbatore in the Indian state of Tamil Nadu. The gang would entice women into isolated places after befriending them on social media and sexually assault them and film the act. The videos were later used to blackmail the women for sexual favors or money. The gang came into spotlight after the family of a 19-year-old college student who claimed to had been sexually assaulted and blackmailed complained to the police. According to media accounts, at least 200 women, including college and school teachers, doctors, higher secondary school students from all over the state, were sexually assaulted in the same manner.
