Chinmoy Guha
Chinmoy Guha (born September 1958 in Kolkata, India) is an Indian essayist, translator, and a scholar of French language and literature, currently serving as Professor Emeritus at the University of Calcutta. He has served as the Vice-Chancellor of Rabindra Bharati University and Director of Publications, Embassy of France, New Delhi. Earlier he taught English at Vijaygarh Jyotish Ray College in Kolkata for more than two decades, and French at the Alliance Française and the Ramakrishna Mission Institute of Culture for eleven and five years respectively. He has been awarded the Lila Ray Memorial Honour for Translation by the Paschimbanga Bangla Akademi in 2008 and the Derozio Bicentenary Award in 2010. He has been knighted by the ministries of Education and Culture of the Government of France in 2010 and 2013 respectively. Chinmoy Chattopadhyay
Chinmoy Chattopadhyay (; also Chinmoy Chatterjee; 7 October 1930 – 26 July 1987) was a Bengali singer, primarily known for singing Rabindrasangeet songs. He is widely considered as one of the greatest exponents of Rabindrasangeet. Life and career Chinmoy Chattopadhyay was born in 1930 in Panihati in Bengal, India. His father was Narendranath Chattopadhyay. He passed Matriculation from Tirthapati Institution in Calcutta and BA from Ashutosh College, West Bengal, India. Chinmoy Lahiri
Acharya Chinmoy Lahiri (; 20 March 1920 – 17 August 1984) was an Indian vocalist from Bengal in the Hindustani classical tradition. He is known for the ''Khayal'' form of singing, as well as for his popular renditions of ''Dhrupad'', ''Thumri'' and ''Tappa'', along with Bengali ''Raga-pradhan'' songs. Early life Archrya Chinmoy Lahiri was born in a ''Zamindar'' family of ''Tantibandh'', Pabna district, in the undivided India under British rule. Chinmoy Sankar Dey (born 18 March 1961) is an Indian molecular biologist and a professor at ''Kusuma School of Biological Sciences'' of the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi. Known for his research on insulin resistance, Dey's is a J. C. Bose National Fellow of the Department of Science and Technology and an elected fellow of the National Academy of Sciences, India and the Indian National Science Academy. Chinmoy Roy
Chinmoy Roy (1940–2019) was an Indian Bengali actor. He was famous for his comic roles in Bengali movies, though his versatility allowed him to play a variety of roles. Though he was known for portraying various character roles, Roy was equally at ease in portraying the famous fictional character Tenida on screen. He held his own among prominent performers like Soumitra Chatterjee, Robi Ghose and Tarun Kumar in the comedies ''Basanto Bilap'', ''Dhonni Meye'', and ''Nanigopaler Biye''. He was also seen in a small role in Satyajit Ray's '' Goopy Gyne o Bagha Byne'', in which he portrayed a spy working for the Minister of Halla. Roy had to contend with chronic health problems.
