Childstar (album)
''Childstar'' is the second studio album by American singer-songwriter Grace VanderWaal, consisting of nine original tracks. It is VanderWaal's second full-length project and follows her EP ''Letters Vol. 1'' (2019). The album was released on April 4, 2025, by Pulse Records, with most tracks produced by Eren Cannata. In advance of the album's release, VanderWaal released several singles from the album and promoted it with various live and broadcast appearances, and she promoted it with a tour to major North American cities in May 2025. VanderWaal co-wrote each song on ''Childstar''. Production Producers on the album include Eren Cannata, who produced five of the songs. VanderWaal co-wrote each track. Along with the album, VanderWaal released on her YouTube channel a choreographed short film, ''Childstar: Final Act'', a short film co-directed by VanderWaal with Luca Renzi and Jacob Boehme, and co-choreographed by VanderWaal and Renzi. Grace VanderWaal
Grace Avery VanderWaal (born January 15, 2004) is an American singer-songwriter and actress. She is known for her distinctive voice and has often accompanied herself on the ukulele. VanderWaal began her musical career by posting videos of her original songs and covers on YouTube and performing at open mic nights near her home in Suffern, New York, Suffern, New York. In September 2016, at age 12, she won the America's Got Talent (season 11), eleventh season of the NBC competition show ''America's Got Talent'' (''AGT''), performing her original songs. Indie Pop
Indie pop (also typeset as indie-pop or indiepop) is a music genre and subculture that combines guitar pop with a DIY ethic in opposition to the style and tone of mainstream pop music. It originated from British post-punk in the late 1970s and subsequently generated a thriving fanzine, Independent record label, label, and club and gig circuit.
