Chikinki
Chikinki are an English electropop band from Bristol, England. History The band formed at Hiatt Baker Hall at the University of Bristol in 1996. Originally there were six members: Rupert Browne (vocals), Ed East (rhythm guitar), Steve Bond (drums), Simon (Boris) Exton ( keyboards), Luke Sherwood (lead guitar) and Trevor Wensley (saxophone). After Sherwood left the band, Wensley became a second keyboard/synth player. As there was no bass player the two keyboards shared rhythm, bass and melody duties. All five members write the songs. An early EP, ''Telephone Heroes'', was followed by their debut album, ''Experiment with Mother''. Recorded at home, it was released by Bristol Label Sink and Stove Records along with the single "Like It or Leave It". Kitty-Yo Artists
Kitty-Yo is a German record label specializing in quirky pop and electronica. It was founded in 1994 in Berlin by Raik Hölzel following the creation of an independent zine of the same name. The label began by publishing music for Surrogat, Patrick Wagner's group project, and got the attention of John Peel and Steve Albini. Since their inception, Kitty-Yo albums and singles have been distributed worldwide, gaining a college radio following in the United States. V Festival
V Festival, often referred to as V Fest or simply V, was an annual music festival held in the United Kingdom during the third weekend in August. The event was held at two parks simultaneously which shared the same bill; artists performed at one location on Saturday and then swapped on Sunday. The sites were located at Hylands Park in Chelmsford and Weston Park in South Staffordshire. In 2017, the final year of this format, the capacity of each site was 90,000. Richard Branson announced on 30 October 2017 that V Festival would be discontinued but that a new festival would replace it. In 2018, a new festival called "Rize" was held in on the same weekend as the "V Festival" but only at Hylands Park. However, on 5 August 2020, it was announced that the "V Festival" was to return to Hylands Park, without an audience (due to the COVID-19 pandemic), later that month. Kasabian
Kasabian ( ) are an English rock band formed in Leicester in 1997 by lead vocalist Tom Meighan, guitarist and second vocalist Sergio Pizzorno, guitarist Chris Karloff and bassist Chris Edwards. Drummer Ian Matthews joined in 2004. Karloff left the band in 2006 and founded a new band called Black Onassis. Jay Mehler joined as touring lead guitarist in 2006, leaving for Liam Gallagher's Beady Eye in 2013, to be replaced by Tim Carter, who later became a full-time band member in 2021.
