Channel A (Korea)
Channel A Corporation (), known as Channel A (, typeset CHANNEL A), is a nationwide generalist cable TV network and broadcasting company in South Korea. The company's largest shareholder is Dong-A Media Group (DAMG), which consists of 12 affiliate companies including The Dong-a Ilbo. Channel A was launched on 1 December 2011. Channel A's management philosophy is 'Open & Creative' and the company slogan is 'Channel A, A Canvas that Holds Your Dreams.' JaeHo Kim is the chief executive officer. Channel A is one of four newly launched South Korea nationwide generalist cable TV networks alongside JoongAng Ilbo's JTBC, Chosun Ilbo's TV Chosun and Maeil Kyungje's MBN in 2011. The broadcaster legally became known as SBS in March 2000, changing its corporate name from Seoul Broadcasting System (). Its flagship terrestrial television station SBS TV broadcasts as channel 6 for digital and cable. Cho Kuk
Cho Kuk (; born 6 April 1965) is a South Korean politician who served as a member of the National Assembly of South Korea from May to December 2024, when he lost his seat following the Supreme Court of Korea's decision to uphold his two-year prison sentence for document falsification. He is the founder of the Rebuilding Korea Party. Cho previously served as a senior presidential aide for civil affairs under the cabinet of Moon Jae-in from May 2017 to July 2019. He was subsequently appointed Minister of Justice, a position he held from September 2019 until his resignation on 14 October 2019 due to his involvement in a series of controversies, including allegations of corruption surrounding his family's business activities. The Seoul International Marathon (), also known as The Dong-A Ilbo Seoul Marathon or Seoul Marathon, is an annual marathon race that takes place in Seoul, South Korea. It is hosted by the newspaper ''The Dong-A Ilbo''. It is one of two annual races over the 42.195 km classic distance in the city, alongside the JoongAng Seoul Marathon which is held in November. It holds List of World Athletics Label marathon races, World Athletics Platinum Label Road Race status.
