Central Missouri Activities Conference
The Central Missouri Activities Conference, or CMAC, is a high school athletic conference comprising large-size high schools located in Mid-Missouri. Missouri State High School Activities Association
The Missouri State High School Activities Association (MSHSAA) is the governing body for high school activities throughout the state of Missouri. Approximately 580 high schools are members of MSHSAA. The MSHSAA conducts championship-level activities in 23 activities. At least 50 member high schools must sponsor a sport for an official championship series to be conducted. Sports such as boys volleyball, field hockey, girls lacrosse, boys softball, and water polo are considered "emerging sports" by MSHSAA, but an official postseason series does not exist with less than 50 schools involved in those activities. MSHSAA also administers sideline cheerleading and dance team activities. Camdenton, Missouri
Camdenton is a city in and the county seat of Camden County, Missouri, United States. Its population was 3,718 at the 2010 census. The city is enveloped by the Lower Niangua arm of the Lake of the Ozarks, and serves as a popular trade point for visitors to the area. History Camdenton, the new county seat, had its start in the 1930s, when construction of the Lake of the Ozarks inundated the old county seat of Linn Creek. Smith-Cotton High School
Smith-Cotton High School is a public high school in Sedalia, Missouri, in the United States. The school serves students in grades 9–12 in the Sedalia 200 School District. The current principal is Wade Norton. Athletic teams are known as the Tigers, and the school colors are black and gold. History SCHS was named after Sarah Smith Cotton, a prominent member of the early Sedalia community. The land on which one of her previous houses stood was used for the original building. Rock Bridge High School
Rock Bridge High School is a public high school located in southern Columbia, Missouri, United States. The school serves grades 9 through 12 and is one of four High Schools in Columbia Public Schools. It is located next to the Columbia Area Career Center. The mascot is the Bruin Bear. History Due to the crowding of David H. Hickman High School towards the end of the 1960s and the increasing population of Columbia in the 1970s, the Columbia Board of Education decided to form a new high school. The board bought of land in the southern portion of the city and started the construction of the new high school. The name "Rock Bridge" was chosen because of the school's proximity to the natural rock bridge at Rock Bridge Memorial State Park. Kewpie
Kewpie is a brand of dolls and figurines that were conceived as comic strip characters by American cartoonist Rose O'Neill. The illustrated cartoons, appearing as baby cupid characters, began to gain popularity after the publication of O'Neill's comic strips in 1909, and O'Neill began to illustrate and sell paper doll versions of the Kewpies. The characters were first produced as bisque dolls in Waltershausen, Germany, beginning in 1912, and became extremely popular in the early 20th century. Helias Catholic High School is a diocesan, Roman Catholic high school in Jefferson City, Missouri, United States. History Helias High School opened for the 1956-57 school year. This interparish Catholic school became necessary when St. Peter High School (built in 1930) was sorely overtaxed by the baby boom in this area after World War II. Named after the Jesuit missionary Ferdinand Helias, the school was designed for 600 students and located on Swifts Highway.
