Central Depository Bangladesh Limited () is a Bangladesh government regulatory agency that records and facilates the trade of securities in Bangladesh. It is the National Numbering Agency for International Securities Identification Number in Bangladesh and member of the Association of National Numbering Agencies. Sheikh Kabir Hossain is chairman of the board of directors. It is Bangladesh's only securities depository enterprise. History Central Depository Bangladesh Limited was established on 20 August 2000. AKM Shamsuddin was the founding chairman of Central Depository Bangladesh Limited. Syed Manzur Elahi is a Bangladeshi businessperson and chairman of Apex group. Early life Elahi's father Sir Syed Nasim Ali was the Chief Justice of the undivided Bengal in 1946. Elahi received his B.A. from St. Xavier's College, Kolkata. He earned his master's degree from the University of Dhaka in Economics. He founded and is the chairman of Holiday Publications Limited. He moved to Dhaka in 1962 from Kolkata. In 1972, he resigned from his job and started working as an agent for a French leather importer. Sadharan Bima Corporation (popularly known as SBC) is the one and only state-owned non-life insurer and reinsurer in Bangladesh under the Ministry of Finance, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. AB Bank (formerly Arab Bangladesh Bank) is a leading private sector bank in Bangladesh. AB Bank Limited was incorporated on 31st December, 1981 and its the first commercial private bank in Bangladesh. History AB Bank was established on 31 December 1981.
