Cell Project Space is a not-for-profit gallery space and workspace provider based in Cambridge Heath, London. Cell Project Space presents up to 5 exhibitions and 3-4 events per year and supports the dissemination of artists’ knowledge to the local community through workshops. History Cell Project Space is an independent gallery founded in 1999 by directors Milika Muritu and Richard Priestley that was originally set up as an artist-run exhibition space and is now a registered charity, Cell Foundation. The organisation provides affordable workspace, which in turn supports an on-going programme of exhibitions, projects, talks, screenings, and events. Cambridge Heath Railway Station
Cambridge Heath is a railway station operated by London Overground in Bethnal Green, East London. The station is down the line from London Liverpool Street and is situated between and on the Lea Valley lines to and . Its three-letter station code is CBH and it is in Travelcard zone 2. The station is named after the Cambridge Heath area of Hackney across Hackney Road. History Great Eastern Railway 1872-1922 The station was opened on 27 May 1872 by the Great Eastern Railway (GER) as part of a more direct route to Enfield Town which before opening was accessed via Angel Road station. When built the station, which is built on a viaduct, had two platforms and a station building on the east side. In 1894, with increasing traffic, the GER opened two additional tracks on the eastern side of the station, which are known as the Fast Lines today and allow longer distance trains to pass trains that stop at Cambridge Heath. Cambridge Heath
Cambridge Heath is an urban area of Bethnal Green in the London Borough of Tower Hamlets, approximately north east of Charing Cross. It is named after a former heath in the East End of London. The northern boundary is formed by the Regent's Canal and the area includes Vyner Street, best known for its street art and galleries. The area is served by Cambridge Heath railway station, operated by London Overground. Mimosa Echard
Mimosa Echard is a French visual artist who lives and works in Paris. Biography Born in 1986 in Alès, France, She grew up with her sisters in a hippy community in the Cévennes. She studied at the École nationale supérieure des arts décoratifs in Paris, from which she graduated in 2010. In 2019, she was a resident at Villa Kujoyama in Kyoto. Since 2021, she has been the head of a painting workshop at the Beaux-Arts de Paris. Echard is the winner of the 2022 edition of the Marcel Duchamp Prize. Laura Buckley (1977–2022) was an Irish video and installation artist, and sculptor. Born in Galway, Ireland, she lived and worked in London. She exhibited throughout the UK and internationally. Early life and education Buckley was born in County Galway, Ireland and lived in a small town. Celia Hempton
Celia Hempton (born Stroud, England) is a British artist based in London and has exhibited internationally across Europe, Asia and North and South America. Hempton is primarily a painter but works across different medias including sound and performance. Her primary artistic interest is feelings of discomfort and confronting those feelings.
