Catiuscia Marini
Catiuscia Marini (born 25 September 1967) is an Italian politician and manager. She was president of Umbria from 2010 to 2019. She has been the manager of Legacoop since 2007. Biography Marini graduated in political science with an international political orientation at the University of Perugia. After holding the posts of city councilor and deputy mayor of the same city, in 1998 Marini was elected mayor of Todi and held the office until 2007. In 2000 she was named by UNICEF as ideal defender mayor of children for its activities in support of projects for the protection of children's rights. Marini was MEP from 2008 to 2009; she was a member of the parliamentary group of the European Socialist Party and of the Internal Market and Consumer Protection Commission and of the delegation for the Maghreb countries. The presidents of the regional junta, from its proclamation in 1970 until today, were eight and have presided over a total of 14 members. As established by the art. 114, second paragraph of the text, the region of Umbria was established, and the first regional elections took place on 7 June 1970. Until 1993 the presidents were elected by the regional council and following the 1995 reform, the election of the president of the region is by universal and direct suffrage. The youngest president at the time of the elections was Pietro Conti, who took office at the age of 41; the oldest was Maria Rita Lorenzetti, who finished her term at the age of 57. Germano Marri was the president who presided over most, elected three times and with the longest mandate, with 10 years, 11 months and 6 days, while Francesco Ghirelli with the shorter mandate. Legacoop (Lega Nazionale delle Cooperative e Mutue) is a cooperative federation located in Italy. Legacoop consists of several associations of cooperatives, providing coordination and advocating on the members cooperatives' behalf. History The Federazione Nazionale delle Cooperative was founded in 1886 in Milan by delegates representing cooperative enterprises. In 1893, the federation changed its name to Lega delle Cooperative. At the time the federation included Catholic groups in solidarity with secular/socialist groups. In 1919, the Catholic cooperatives split and formed the Confederazione delle Cooperative Italiane. In the 1920s, the fascist government disposed of cooperatives and unions and the organization was disbanded. After World War II, Legacoop reformed.
