Casimiro Aín
Casimiro Agustín Aín (4 March 1882 – 17 October 1940), nicknamed “El Vasco” (“The Basque”) or “El Lecherito” (“The Little Milkman”), was a dancer and promoter of Argentine tango. He is recognized as one of the first performers to spread and establish this Buenos Aires dance in Europe and the United States, as well as for achieving the official acceptance of tango before Pope Pius XI at the Vatican. Life Casimiro Aín was born on March 4, 1882 in Buenos Aires. He was the first son of Juan Aín (a well-known milkman nicknamed “El Vasco”) and the Genoese Rosa Rataro. During his childhood, he accompanied his father on milk delivery rounds, which earned him the nickname "El Lecherito" ("The Little Milkman"). Juan Canaro
Juan Canaro (23 June 1892 – 16 March 1977) was an Uruguayan singer, conductor, bandoneonist, and composer who settled in Argentina. His brothers were the orchestra conductors Francisco Canaro and Rafael Canaro. Professional career In 1907, his neighbor and close friend Vicente Fiorentino, who already played the violin in small groups, encouraged Juan to take up studying the bandoneon, teaching him some simple tunes using numbered notation. After much effort, he managed to learn two pieces. He continued studying but didn’t dare to perform in public. He eventually did so at some local festivals alongside Vicente Fiorentino (violin) and Luis Martínez (Papanova) on guitar. After overcoming that challenge, they later performed in Junín and Pergamino. Francisco Canaro
Francisco Canaro, also known by the nickname Pirincho, (November 26, 1888 – December 14, 1964) was a Uruguayan violinist and tango orchestra leader. Canaro was born in San José de Mayo, Uruguay, in 1888. His parents were Italian immigrants, and later, when he was less than 10 years old, they emigrated to Buenos Aires, Argentina in the late nineteenth century. As a young man he found work in a factory, where an empty oil can, in his skilled hands, became his first violin. Performing in seedy bars initially, he ultimately forged a career that spanned many decades, and his orchestra was one of the most recorded. His introduction to the tango came by orquesta típica leader Vicente Greco in 1908, and in 1912 he composed "Pinta brava" ("Fierce Look").
