Cashman (video Game)
''Cashman'' is a platform game by Bill Dunlevy and Doug Frayer for the TRS-80 Color Computer and Dragon 32 (also released on the Sanyo MBC-550), published by Computer Shack in July 1983. The game contains a mixture of elements from other platform games, most notably '' Jumpman''. The player can control either a Sailor or a Sheikh, running up and down stairs and avoiding bats, cats, bombs, and other creatures in order to collect dollar signs. Computer Shack
ComputerLand was a widespread chain of retail computer stores during the early years of the microcomputer revolution, and was one of the outlets (along with Computer City and Sears) chosen to introduce the IBM PC in 1981. The first ComputerLand opened in 1976, and the chain eventually included about 800 stores by 1985. After this time the rapid commoditization of the PC led to the company's downfall, with most of the retail locations closing by 1990. The company officially ended in February 1999. The Rainbow (magazine)
''The Rainbow'' was a monthly magazine dedicated to the TRS-80 Color Computer, a home computer made by Tandy Corporation (now RadioShack). It was started by Lawrence C. Falk(commonly known as Lonnie Falk) and was published from July 1981 to May 1993 by Falk's company, Falsoft, which was based in Prospect, Kentucky. History The first issue of the magazine was two double-sided sheets containing text printed on a Radio Shack Line Printer VII printer. Falk photocopied 25 of the debut issue, and sold them for $1.00. After the first batch sold out, he made ten more copies. Time Bandit
''Time Bandit'' is a maze shoot 'em up written for the TRS-80 Model I by Bill Dunlevy and Harry Lafnear and published by MichTron in 1983. It was ported to the TRS-80 Color Computer and Dragon 32, but enjoyed its greatest popularity several years later as an early release for the Atari ST. It was also released for the pseudo-PC-compatible Sanyo MBC-55x with 8-color display. Amiga and MS-DOS versions were ported by Timothy Purves. Gameplay In each overhead-view level, the player must gather keys to open locks which allow access to the exit. Between levels, the player chooses the next level from one of 16 "Timegates", each leading to a different world. Jumpman (video Game)
''Jumpman'' is a platform game written by Randy Glover and published by Epyx in 1983. It was developed for the Atari 8-bit computers, and versions were also released for the Commodore 64, Apple II, and IBM PC compatibles. The game received very favorable reviews when it was released and was a major hit for its publisher, Automated Simulations. It was so successful that the company renamed itself Epyx, formerly their brand for action titles like ''Jumpman''. ''Jumpman'' was published on diskette, but a version of the game with 12 new levels instead of 30 was released on cartridge as '' Jumpman Junior''.
