Carmela Tunay
Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina volleyball former player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She, then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019. Personal life Carmela Tunay, born in Mandaluyong and lives in Makati, attended St Paul College in Makati. She graduated at the University of Santo Tomas with a degree in AB Communication Arts in. Tunay finished her Marketing master's degree in UST, during her last playing season, UAAP season 78. Career Tunay was a member of the UST Golden Tigresses, the collegiate varsity volleyball team of UST which plays in the UAAP Volleyball tournament. The Golden Tigresses finished 6th and 5th place in UAAP Season 76 and 77 respectively. In 2015, she joined the Cignal HD Spikers which plays in the Philippine Super Liga. 2017 PSL Invitational Cup
The 2017 Belo PSL Invitational Cup was the first indoor volleyball tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's fifth season. It began on March 4, 2017 and ended April 1, 2017. The tournament adopted the all-to-play format to give playing time to every player in each team. Petron Tri-Activ Spikers
The Petron Blaze Spikers were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament. Team history Petron became the first team to sweep a PSL tournament with a 13–0 record and claim the 2015 All-Filipino championship, its second consecutive PSL title. The Ateneo Blue Eagles women's volleyball team is the women's collegiate varsity volleyball team of the Ateneo de Manila University. They play in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP). History The Ateneo Blue Eagles women's volleyball team was formed in 1975. The Shakey's V-League 12th Season Collegiate Conference was the 23rd conference of Shakey's V-League. The opening ceremony was held on July 11, 2015 with the first triple header of volleyball games at the Filoil Flying V Arena in San Juan, Metro Manila.
