Carmela Tunay
Maria Carmela "Mela" Tunay is Filipina former volleyball player, actress, and TV host. She played for the UST Lady Tigresses in the UAAP and the Cignal HD Spikers in the PSL until 2016. She then transferred and played for the Petron Blaze Spikers from 2017 to 2019. Personal life Carmela Tunay was born in Mandaluyong. She resides in Makati where she attended Saint Paul College. She graduated from the University of Santo Tomas with a bachelor's degree in Communication Arts. Tunay finished her Marketing master's degree in UST, during her last playing season, UAAP season 78. Tunay was formerly in a relationship with fellow volleyball player Kim Fajardo. Their relationship lasted for seven years until it ended sometime during the COVID-19 pandemic in the early 2020s. Kim Fajardo
Kim Alano Fajardo (born September 30, 1993) is a Filipino volleyball athlete. She was the team captain of the De La Salle University women's volleyball team for Season 78 and 79. Career Fajardo first played volleyball when she was in Grade 2. In high school, she was a member of the UST Junior Golden Tigresses, where she played as a utility spiker, later converted to setter after Rhea Katrina Dimaculangan graduated high school. She was teammates with Alyssa Valdez in UST and the Philippine girls' volleyball team for the 2008 Asian Youth Girls Volleyball Championship where the Philippines finished in 8th place. In 2010, Fajardo enrolled at De La Salle University for her collegiate studies. Although enrolled as a college freshman, Fajardo had to sit out from the 2010 DLSU Lady Spikers roster to serve one year of residency for transferring from one UAAP school to another as imposed by the UAAP. 2017 PSL Invitational Cup
The 2017 Belo PSL Invitational Cup was the first indoor volleyball tournament for the Philippine Super Liga's fifth season. It began on March 4, 2017, and ended on April 1, 2017. The tournament adopted the all-to-play format to give playing time to every player in each team. Petron Tri-Activ Spikers
The Petron Tri-Activ Spikers (formerly Petron Blaze Spikers) were a professional women's volleyball team that played in the Philippine Super Liga (PSL) from 2013 to 2020. After the cancellation of the 2020 season of the PSL due to the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020, the team took a leave of absence from the league and released all its players. The team was owned by Petron Corporation. The company's involvement in volleyball began in 2002 when it established the Petron Ladies Beach Volleyball Tournament. The Ateneo Blue Eagles program has a women's collegiate varsity volleyball team which represents the Ateneo de Manila University in the University Athletic Association of the Philippines (UAAP).
