Carlos Javier Jarquín
Carlos Javier Jarquín (born 26 June 1990 in Rancho Grande, Matagalpa Department) is a Nicaraguan-born writer, poet, columnist, cultural journalist music producer, and cultural activist, currently residing in Costa Rica. Biography Jarquín was born in a lower-income neighbourhood of the Nicaraguan town Rancho Grande. Brought up by his grandmother, he struggled to get established as a cultural journalist. Nowadays he is a columnist in several newspapers, such as ''Diario 16'' (Madrid), ''Diario Siglo XXI'' (Valencia), ''La Prensa'' (Managua), ''El Siglo'' (Guatemala), ''La Onda Digital'' (Montevideo), among others. Through these media outlets, he has contributed to promoting the work of numerous artists and intellectuals. During the COVID-19 pandemic he promoted the organization of a virtual event, the First International Literary Festival "Honrando la muerte y celebrando la vida" (Spanish for "Honoring Death and Celebrating Life"). Beatriz Copello is an Australian writer, poet, playwright and psychologist. Her fiction and poetry has been published in Australia and overseas, in literary journals such as ''Southerly'' and ''Australian Women's Book Review'', and in several anthologies and feminist publications. Her poems have been translated into Italian, Spanish, Polish and Chinese. She is the recipient of several prizes, including a first prize at the 2000 Sydney Writers' Festival. EcuRed is a Cuban online encyclopedia built on MediaWiki software. The site was launched on 13 December 2010. The name is an acronym from the Spanish phrase ' (literally "Cuban Encyclopedia on the Network"). Content EcuRed was launched by the Cuban government, is based in Wikipedia and its content is closely entwined with the Cuban Revolution.
