Carlos Guirao (musician)
Carlos Guirao Felices was a musician and composer born in Barcelona 23 February 1954. He died in Barcelona 17 January 2012. Carlos Guirao was member of several groups being the most well-known Neuronium, Programa and Cherish Band. In 1981 he performed for the Spanish Television program "Musical Express". This program consisted of interviews and performances. This program included a performance of Carlos and Michel Huygen jointly with Vangelis at the Nemo Studio in London. Videos of this performance exist. In this period he was also in touch with Klaus Schulze, who initially had to prepare the mixing of his third LP ''Digital dream''. They also played a jam session with Teddy Bautista and Ash Ra Tempel for "Musical express". Electronic music broadly is a group of music genres that employ electronic musical instruments, circuitry-based music technology and software, or general-purpose electronics (such as personal computers) in its creation. Progressive Rock
Progressive rock (shortened as prog rock or simply prog) is a broad genre of rock music that primarily developed in the United Kingdom through the mid- to late 1960s, peaking in the early-to-mid-1970s. Initially termed " progressive pop", the style emerged from psychedelic bands who abandoned standard pop or rock traditions in favour of instrumental and compositional techniques more commonly associated with jazz, folk, or classical music, while retaining the instrumentation typical of rock music. Neuronium
Neuronium is a Spanish electronic music group created by Michel Huygen in 1976. The group has released over 40 albums since then on the Neuronium/Michel Huygen label. History Neuronium was founded in 1976 as a psychedelic rock quintet with a percussionist, bassist, guitarist and two synthetists. Later, synthesist/guitarists Michel Huygen and Carlos Guirao (musician), Carlos Guirao, and guitarist Albert Giménez changed style to so-called "Space music, cosmic music", recording the album ''Quasar 2C361'', released in Spain in 1977 by the label EMI-Harvest. Neuronium's second album ''Vuelo Químico'' was inspired by the lyrics of Edgar Allan Poe. Singer Nico recorded vocal parts of the title track. The album was released in 1978. Albert Giménez subsequently left the band. In 1980, Neuronium released the album ''Digital Dream'', with the participance of guitarist Santi Picó on their own label Neuronium Records. Vangelis
Evangelos Odysseas Papathanassiou (, ; 29 March 1943 – 17 May 2022), known professionally as Vangelis ( ; , ), was a Greek musician, composer, and producer of electronic, progressive, ambient, and classical orchestral music. Klaus Schulze
Klaus Schulze (4 August 1947 – 26 April 2022) was a German electronic music pioneer, composer and musician. He also used the alias Richard Wahnfried and was a member of the Krautrock bands Tangerine Dream, Ash Ra Tempel, and the Cosmic Jokers before launching a solo career consisting of more than 60 albums released across six decades. Early life Schulze was born in Berlin in 1947. His father was a writer, and his mother a ballet dancer. After graduating from high school, he delivered telegrams and studied German at Technische Universität Berlin. He and his wife Elfie had two sons Maximilian and Richard.
