Carey Terrance
Carey Terrance is an American-Canadian ice hockey center who is a prospect for the New York Rangers of the National Hockey League. Terrance was drafted by the Anaheim Ducks in the 2nd round of the 2023 NHL entry draft with the 59th overall pick. Playing career Junior Terrance started his junior hockey career with the Erie Otters of the Ontario Hockey League in the 2021–22 OHL season, where scored 10 goals and had 14 assists in 62 games. The following season saw he increase his scoring to 30 goals and 17 assists in 67 games. In the 2023–24 OHL season, he scored 29 goals with 23 assists. He was named the Otters' captain for the 2024–25 season, in which he scored 20 goals with 19 assists in 45 games. He missed the last 2 months of the season after a serious injury he suffered crashing into the boards. Terrance was drafted 59th overall by the Ducks in the 2nd round of the 2023 draft. Akwesasne
The Mohawk Nation at Akwesasne ( ; ; ) is a Mohawk Nation (''Kanienʼkehá:ka'') territory that straddles the intersection of international (United States and Canada) borders and provincial (Ontario and Quebec) boundaries on both banks of the St. Lawrence River. Although divided by an international border, the residents consider themselves to be one community. They maintain separate police forces due to jurisdictional issues and national laws. The community was founded in the mid-18th century by Mohawk families from Kahnawake (also known as Caughnawaga), a Catholic Mohawk village that developed south of Montreal along the St. Lawrence River. Chris Kreider
Christopher James Kreider (born April 30, 1991) is an American professional ice hockey winger (ice hockey), winger for the Anaheim Ducks of the National Hockey League (NHL). Growing up in Boxford, Massachusetts, Kreider played high school hockey for Masconomet Regional High School and Phillips Andover. As a junior at Phillips Andover, Kreider led the team to the New England Prep semifinals and was named New England Prep Player of the Year. Following high school, Kreider played college ice hockey for the Boston College Eagles men's ice hockey, Boston College Eagles from 2009 to 2012. Before the start of his freshman season, Kreider was drafted in the first round, 19th overall, by the New York Rangers in the 2009 NHL entry draft. USA Hockey National Team Development Program
The United States National Team Development Program (NTDP) represents the United States in the IIHF World U18 Championship. Additionally the team plays domestically against opponents in the United States Hockey League (under-17 and under-18 teams), the National Collegiate Athletic Association (under-18 team), and other international tournaments. The program was started in 1996 by USA Hockey as a way to identify elite ice hockey players under the age of 18, and centralize their training. There are two teams in the program: under-17 and under-18. Both teams are based in Plymouth, Michigan. The IIHF U18 World Championship is an annual event organized by the International Ice Hockey Federation for national under-18 ice hockey teams from around the world. The tournament is usually played in April and is organized according to a system similar to the Ice Hockey World Championships and the IIHF World Junior Championship.
