2023 IIHF World U18 Championships
The 2023 IIHF U18 World Championship was the 24th such event hosted by the International Ice Hockey Federation. Teams participated at several levels of competition. The competition also served as qualifications for the 2024 IIHF World U18 Championships, 2024 competition. Will Smith (ice Hockey)
William Charles Patrick Smith (born March 17, 2005) is an American professional ice hockey Centre (ice hockey), center for the San Jose Sharks of the National Hockey League (NHL). He played college ice hockey, college hockey at Boston College Eagles men's ice hockey, Boston College. Smith was drafted fourth overall by the Sharks in the 2023 NHL entry draft. Early life and personal life William Charles Patrick Smith was born on March 17, 2005 to Bill and Colleen Smith of Lexington, Massachusetts. Eduard Šalé (born 10 March 2005) is a Czech professional ice hockey forward for the Coachella Valley Firebirds of the American Hockey League (AHL) as a prospect for the Seattle Kraken of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was drafted 20th overall by the Kraken in the 2023 NHL entry draft. Playing career Šalé played as a youth with hometown club HC Kometa Brno, first appearing as a 13-year-old at the under-16 level. Raiffeisen Arena
The Raiffeisen Arena is an ice hockey arena in Porrentruy, Switzerland. The arena serves as the home for HC Ajoie of the National League (ice hockey), National League (NL). History Raiffeisen Arena was formerly known as Patinoire de Porrentruy and has been the home arena for HC Ajoie since 1973. In 2018, the Porrentruy District voted yes on the renovation and expansion of the arena. Ground breaking for the arena renovations began in July 2019. The arena began to be erected in November 2019. The wood for the arena was largely sourced from the surrounding communities. 2,000 cubic meter of softwood and 1,000 cubic meter of hardwood were used. The expansion began in May 2020, when the existing ice rink was renovated to meet modern standards.
