Post-rock
Post-rock is a subgenre of experimental rock that emphasizes Texture (music), texture, atmosphere, and non-traditional song structures over conventional rock techniques. Don Edward Fagenson (born September 13, 1952), known professionally as Don Was (), is an American musician, record producer, music director, film composer, documentary filmmaker and radio host. Basil Glen Ballard Jr. (born May 1, 1953) is an American songwriter, lyricist, and record producer. He is best known for co-writing and producing on Wilson Phillips' debut and sophomore albums, '' Wilson Phillips'' and '' Shadows and Light'', as well as co-writing and producing on Alanis Morissette's 1995 album '' Jagged Little Pill'' and Dave Matthews Band's 2001 album '' Everyday''. As a songwriter, he co-wrote songs including " All I Need", " Man in the Mirror", " Hold On", " Hand in My Pocket", and Josh Groban's " Believe". The Exies is an American Rock music, rock band from Los Angeles, California, United States, formed in 1997. Their name, "The Exies", is short for "The Existentialists". Their two Virgin Records releases, ''Inertia (The Exies album), Inertia'' (2003) and ''Head for the Door'' (2004), have sold over 400,000 copies combined. On June 30, 2024 the band released a six song EP titled ''Closure ep.'' MENEW are an alternative indie rock band from Cambridge, Ontario, Canada, consisting of three brothers; Shade (lead vocals, guitar), Key (piano, synthesizers) and Nathan Samuel Phillip (drums, vocals). Wolfmother
Wolfmother is an Australian hard rock band from Sydney. Formed in 2004, the group is centred around vocalist and guitarist Andrew Stockdale, who is the only constant member of the line-up. The band has been through many personnel changes since their formation. The original – and most commercially successful – line-up included bassist and keyboardist Chris Ross (musician), Chris Ross and drummer Myles Heskett. Ross and Heskett left Wolfmother after four years in 2008. Stockdale, Ross and Heskett formed Wolfmother in 2004 after several years of informal jamming. Cassius Khan
Cassius Khan (born 7 June 1974) is a Canadian Indian classical musician known for playing the Tabla while singing ghazal as well as his ground breaking collaborations in music. Early years Khan was born in Lautoka, Fiji in 1974. As a young teenager in Vancouver, Canada, Khan met Mushtari Begum, a Ghazal singer, Sheikh Mohyudean, a harmonium and Qawaali singer, and Ustad Rukhsar Ali, a Tabla player. He learned to sing Ghazal and play the Tabla simultaneously. Khan's repertoire also includes the ''Tarannum Ang Gayaki'' while playing the Tabla, and this became his trademark style. Hip-hop or hip hop (originally disco rap) is a popular music genre that emerged in the early 1970s from the African-American community of New York City.
