Matmos
Matmos is an experimental electronic music duo formed in San Francisco and based in Baltimore. M. C. (Martin) Schmidt and Drew Daniel are the core members, but they frequently include other artists on their records and in their performances notably including J Lesser. Apart from releasing twelve full-length studio albums and numerous collaborative works, Matmos is also well known for their collaboration with Icelandic singer and musician Björk, both on studio recordings and live tours. After being signed to Matador Records for nine years, Matmos signed with Thrill Jockey in 2012. Anthony Child (born 1 May 1971), better known as Surgeon, is an English electronic musician and disc jockey, DJ. Child releases music on his own Record label, labels Counterbalance and Dynamic Tension. Established imprints, such as Tresor Records, Tresor, Soma Quality Recordings, Soma, and Harthouse, have also released Surgeon's original material and remixes. Matthew Herbert (born in 1972), also known as Herbert, Doctor Rockit, Radio Boy, Mr. Vertigo, Transformer, Wishmountain, and DJ Empty, is a British electronic musician. Coil were an English experimental music group formed in 1982 in London and dissolved in 2005.
