Caifanes Live Albums
Caifanes is a Mexican rock band formed in Mexico City in 1986. The group achieved commercial success during the late 1980s and early 1990s. The original lineup of members consisted of Saúl Hernández (vocals and guitar), Sabo Romo (bass), :es:Alfonso André, Alfonso André (drums) and :es:Diego Herrera (músico), Diego Herrera (keyboards, saxophone). Alejandro Marcovich later joined as lead guitarist. Caifanes' style can be described as a hybrid of British New wave music, new wave, progressive rock and Latin percussion underscored by deep, somber and Latin American-Mexican Spanish-influenced lyrics and the vocal style of Saúl Hernández. Members of Caifanes have cited The Cure, The Beatles and King Crimson as major influences. Adrian Belew
Robert Steven "Adrian" Belew (born December 23, 1949) is an American musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. A multi-instrumentalist primarily known as a guitarist and singer, he is noted for his unusual approach to the instrument, his playing cited as fluid, expressive, and often resembling "animal noises or mechanical rumblings". Widely recognized as an "incredibly versatile [guitar] player", Belew is perhaps best known for his tenure as guitarist and frontman in the progressive rock group King Crimson between 1981 and 2009. Cumbia
Cumbia refers to a number of musical rhythms and folk dance traditions of Latin America, generally involving musical and cultural elements from American Indigenous peoples, Europeans, and Africans during colonial times. Cumbia is said to have come from funeral traditions in the Afro-Colombian community. Cumbia traditionally uses three drums ('' tambora'', ' and ''llamador''), three flutes (''gaita hembra'' and ''gaito macho'', both forms of , and '' flauta de millo'') and has a or meter. Caifanes (album)
''Caifanes'' is the debut studio album by Mexican rock band Caifanes. It was released in 1988 after the success of their first singles, "Mátenme porque me muero" and "La bestia humana". The original release of the album did not contain the songs "La negra Tomasa" and "Perdí mi ojo de venado", which were released in 1989 as singles and later incorporated into the album when it was re-released on compact disc in 1993. Ariola (also known as Ariola Records, Ariola Express, Ariola-Eurodisc and BMG Ariola) is a German record label. ''Rock en tu idioma'' was a publicity campaign -- resulting in a series of rock albums -- initiated by the Sony BMG, BMG Ariola Records, Ariola music label, which other labels later also joined, to promote and distribute the music of Mexican, Spanish and Argentine bands. Between 1986 and 1991 the campaign was part of a musical movement in Latin America, and of the boom that arose from what became known as the La Movida Madrileña, Movida Madrileña. The campaign's goal was to spread the music of rock bands in Spanish language, Spanish. The Jesus and Mary Chain are a Scottish alternative rock band formed in East Kilbride in 1983. The band revolves around the songwriting partnership of brothers Jim and William Reid, who are the two founders and only consistent members of the band since its formation.
