Cable Liner
The Cable Liner is a range of automated people mover products designed by Doppelmayr Cable Car for use at airports, in city centers, intermodal passenger transport connections, park and ride facilities, campuses, resorts and amusement parks. The design superseded the maglev transport system at Birmingham Airport which was, at the time, the world’s only commercial maglev system. The technology was used for the new AirRail Link on the existing maglev guideway to replace the previous system and temporary bus-service shuttle that had been operating in the meantime. System features The automated people mover systems are based on cable-propelled technology. The manufacturer claims distances up to and a peak passenger flow of up to 7,000 pphpd (people per hour per direction) are possible. The People Mover in Venice () is an automated elevated shuttle train, which connects the Piazzale Roma—the major transportation hub of the city—and the Tronchetto island with a car parking facility. The train also makes a stop at the Marittima station where the passenger terminal of the Port of Venice is located. Venice's People Mover is a small-scale automated guideway public transit system—a people mover. Description The system's two four-car trains are pulled by a cable similar to a funicular, but with shallow gradients track: it reaches a maximum of 6.2% at the section crossing the Tronchetto channel, and is less than 5% over the rest of the track. Aerotrén
The Aerotrén is a cable-propelled people mover operating at Mexico City International Airport, near Mexico City, in Mexico. The automated people mover (APM) provides a link between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Opened in 2007, it was part of a major expansion to the airport, which is the busiest in Latin America. The link is only designed to transfer passengers connecting between flights, who must be in possession of and show a valid boarding pass. Mandalay Bay Tram
The Mandalay Bay Tram is a people mover that opened on April 9, 1999 on the Las Vegas Strip in Paradise, Nevada. It was constructed to connect three gaming hotels belonging to the MGM Mirage Group. The line carries passengers from the major Tropicana – Las Vegas Boulevard intersection, via the Excalibur Hotel and Casino and Luxor Hotel to the Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino at the southern end. The dual-track system is cable-driven and free for the public to use. The western track has intermediate station stops. The eastern track only has stops at either end of the line – Mandalay Bay and Excalibur. If only one train is running, it is the western track and it runs express to Mandalay Bay going south, but makes all stops returning north. The Luton DART is an airport rail link in Luton, Bedfordshire, England, which connects Luton Airport Parkway railway station, Luton Airport Parkway station and Luton Airport using a Cable Liner automated people mover system.
