Cabinet Kretschmann II
The second Kretschmann cabinet was the state government of Baden-Württemberg between 2016 and 2021, sworn in on 12 May 2021 after Winfried Kretschmann was elected as Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg by the members of the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg. It was the 24th Cabinet of Baden-Württemberg. It was formed after the 2016 Baden-Württemberg state election by Alliance 90/The Greens (GRÜNE) and the Christian Democratic Union (CDU). Excluding the Minister-President, the cabinet comprised twelve ministers. Seven were members of the Greens and five were members of the CDU. The second Kretschmann cabinet was succeeded by the third Kretschmann cabinet on 12 May 2021. Winfried Kretschmann
Winfried Kretschmann (born 17 May 1948) is a German politician serving as Minister-President of Baden-Württemberg since 2011. A member of the Alliance '90/Greens, he was President of the Bundesrat and ''ex officio'' deputy to the President of Germany from 2012 to 2013. He is the first member of the Greens to serve in these offices. Identifying himself as a green conservative, Kretschmann has been associated with both culturally and economically liberal policies. Kretschmann has been a member of the state parliament, the Landtag of Baden-Württemberg, since 1980, in the constituency of Nürtingen. In 2006 he was the frontrunner in the Baden-Württemberg state election for his party, as he was in the state election on 27 March 2011. He was also the chairman of his party's parliamentary group. The newspaper is generally considered to be among the German newspapers of record and is known for its long and extensive articles. History The first edition of ''Die Zeit'' was first published in Hamburg on 21 February 1946. The founding publishers were Gerd Bucerius, Lovis H. Lorenz, Richard Tüngel and Ewald Schmidt di Simoni. Another important founder was Marion Gräfin Dönhoff, who joined as an editor in 1946. Susanne Eisenmann (born 28 November 1964) is a German politician of the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) who has been served as State Minister for Culture, Youth and Sports in the government of Minister-President Winfried Kretschmann of Baden-Württemberg between 2016 and 2021.
