CMLL Super Viernes (September 2014)
In September 2014 Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) held three CMLL Super Viernes shows on Friday nights. On September 19 they replaced the regular Friday night show with their 81st Anniversary Show, CMLL's biggest show of the year and the culmination of a number of storylines built up in the previous weeks or months. Some of the matches from Super Viernes are taped for CMLL's weekly shows that air on television in Mexico in the following week. The first two ''Super Viernes'' shows focused primarily on the build towards the 81st Anniversary show, especially the ''Lucha de Apuestas'', mask vs. mask match main event of the show between Atlantis and Último Guerrero that would be the culmination of a storyline years in the making. Professional Wrestling
Professional wrestling is a form of theater that revolves around staged wrestling matches. The mock combat is performed in a ring similar to the kind used in boxing, and the dramatic aspects of pro wrestling may be performed both in the ring or—as in televised wrestling shows—in backstage areas of the venue, in similar form to reality television. Fuego (wrestler)
Fuego (born December 11, 1981) is a Mexican '' luchador enmascarado'', or masked professional wrestler currently working for the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). His original ring character, Flash, was inspired by the comic book character The Flash. Fuego regularly teams with Stuka, Jr., with whom he held the CMLL Arena Coliseo Tag Team Championship for a record four and a half years. Fuego's real name is not a matter of public record, as is often the case with masked wrestlers in Mexico where their private lives are kept a secret from the wrestling fans. Shocker (wrestler)
José Luis Jair Soria (born September 12, 1971) is a Mexican '' luchador'' or professional wrestler, who works under the ring name Shocker. He currently works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre in Mexico and has previously worked for AAA in Mexico, Total Nonstop Action Wrestling, in the United States and New Japan Pro-Wrestling in Japan. Soria is a second-generation professional wrestler; his father, Rubén Soria, was an active wrestler from 1963 to the 1970s. Working as Shocker, he has held the CMLL World Tag Team Championship on three occasions, with Negro Casas, Mr. Niebla and L.A. Park. He is also a former holder of the CMLL World Light Heavyweight Championship, the NWA World Light Heavyweight Championship (twice) and the NWA World Historic Light Heavyweight Championship. Fabián Núñez Napoles (born January 20, 1979) is a Mexican '' luchador'' (professional wrestler), better known by the ring name Rey Escorpión. He is currently working for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he portrays a ''rudo'' or bad guy character. He is former the AAA World Tag Team Champions with El Texano Jr. and he is currently in his first reign as one third of the AAA World Trios Champions with La Hiedra and Texano Jr. He worked for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) from 2009 to 2016 and prior to that worked for Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA) in 2008, where he was known as Escorpión Negro. Gran Guerrero (born 1993) is a Mexican ''Lucha libre, luchador wrestling mask, enmascarado'' (or masked professional wrestling, professional wrestler), who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He portrays a ''Heel (professional wrestling), rudo'' ("bad guy") wrestling character. August started out with the Mexican professional wrestling promotion Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) holding a special major event called '' Juicio Final'' on Friday August 1 instead of their traditional Friday night CMLL Super Viernes show, but for the remaining four Fridays they held their traditional Super Viernes show, CMLL's main weekly show. Arena México
Arena México is an indoor arena in Mexico City, Mexico, located in the Colonia Doctores neighborhood in the Cuauhtémoc borough. Volador Jr
Ramón Ibarra Rivera (born January 26, 1981), better known by his ring name Volador Jr., is a Mexican '' luchador'' (or professional wrestler), who works for Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL). He portrays a '' técnico'' ("good guy") wrestling character and is considered one of the top level ''técnicos'' in the promotion.
