CKKC-FM is a Canadian radio station that broadcasts an adult hits format at 106.9 FM in Nelson, British Columbia. The station is owned by Bell Media and is branded as ''Bounce Radio Nelson''. The station's programming is produced partly from its own studios, and from its sister station CJAT-FM in Trail. The station was launched in 1939 by the ''Nelson Daily News'' on AM as CKLN, it adopted its current call sign in 1967 and moved to the FM band in 2006. As CKLN, the station was a CBC Radio affiliate until the 1960s. As part of a mass format reorganization by Bell Media, on May 18, 2021, CKKC dropped the adult contemporary format and the ''EZ Rock'' branding and flipped to adult hits, and adopted the ''Bounce'' branding. EZ Rock
EZ Rock was a brand of adult contemporary radio stations heard primarily in Canada. The branding was originally created by Telemedia in the mid-1990s for its AC stations, and based on the call sign of its former Toronto flagship CJEZ-FM (now adult hits-formatted CHBM-FM). Via acquisitions, control of the "EZ Rock" brand passed from Telemedia to Astral Media and later Bell Media. The Village of Nakusp ( Sinixt ''neqo'sp'') is beside the mouth of Kuskanax Creek, on the Upper Arrow Lake in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. Lying between the Selkirk and Monashee ranges, the village is known for its nearby hot springs and picturesque mountain lakeside setting. Kaslo is a village on the west shore of Kootenay Lake in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. A member municipality of the Central Kootenay Regional District, the name derives from the adjacent Kaslo River. New Denver is at the mouth of Carpenter Creek, on the east shore of Slocan Lake, in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia. The village is west of Kaslo on Highway 31A, and southeast of Nakusp and northeast of Slocan on Highway 6. Name origin In 1892, the town was mostly called Slocan City or Slocan for about a month, Eldorado City or Eldorado for about seven months, and New Denver since. However, these names were used interchangeably for months. Furthermore, the place may have been known as Carpenter Creek townsite after its founding in 1891. Crawford Bay is a community of approximately 350 people, situated in the Purcell mountain range on the eastern shore of Kootenay Lake in the West Kootenay region of southeastern British Columbia.
