CJWF-FM, branded as ''Windsor's Country 95.9 & 92.7'', is a Windsor, Ontario radio station owned and operated by Blackburn Radio. CJWF broadcasts a country format at 95.9 FM, with limited simulcasting in Leamington, Ontario at 92.7FM. History Windsor's FM/Country 95-9 CJWF was licensed on May 9, 2008. The station began test broadcasts on the night of September 22, 2009 in the wake of 106.7 The Fox flipping from country to rhythmic adult contemporary, along with appeals for the reporting of technical problems with reception. The station officially launched on the morning of November 16, 2009 at 8am as ''Windsor's FM 95.9''. The first song played was "Welcome to the Future" by Brad Paisley. CJSP-FM (92.7 FM, ''Windsor's Country 95.9 & 92.7'') is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 92.7 MHz in Leamington, Ontario. CJSP is owned and operated by Blackburn Radio. The station features a country format and simulcasts its morning show from sister station CJWF-FM in Windsor. History Country 92.7 CJSP/Max-FM (2008–2012) The station was given approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on July 9, 2007. On November 27, 2007, the station signed on and went into testing mode. On March 3, 2008 at 9 a.m., CJSP ended their testing mode and officially launched as ''Country 92.7 CJSP'' and became a full-service FM station. Blackburn Radio, Inc. is a Canadian radio broadcasting group, which owns several radio stations in Southwestern Ontario. Headquartered in London, Ontario, the company is owned by 2061302 Ontario Limited, which is majority owned by Cogent Investments. The three Chatham stations were previously owned by Webster and Bea-Ver Communications, which was acquired by Blackburn Radio in April 2005. In 2006, during CRTC hearings reviewing commercial radio policy in Canada, Blackburn requested that all of its radio stations on or near the U.S. border be permitted to reduce their Canadian content requirement to 20 per cent. CIMX-FM (88.7 MHz, '' Pure Country 89'') is a commercial radio station in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It primarily serves Essex County, but has a signal that reaches the entire Detroit-Windsor metropolitan area. It is owned by Bell Media and airs a country format.
