CJSP-FM (92.7 FM, ''Windsor's Country 95.9 & 92.7'') is a Canadian radio station, which broadcasts at 92.7 MHz in Leamington, Ontario. CJSP is owned and operated by Blackburn Radio. The station features a country format and simulcasts its morning show from sister station CJWF-FM in Windsor. History Country 92.7 CJSP/Max-FM (2008–2012) The station was given approval by the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission on July 9, 2007. On November 27, 2007, the station signed on and went into testing mode. On March 3, 2008 at 9 a.m., CJSP ended their testing mode and officially launched as ''Country 92.7 CJSP'' and became a full-service FM station. The station featured Southwestern Ontario radio vet Cordell Green in mornings and Randy Reeves as its imaging voice. History 710AM CJSP, Cheer Radio The station was launched in 1955 by Sun Parlor Broadcasting at 710 AM, as a daytimer with a 250-watt transmitter, using the callsign CJSP. The principal shareholders in Sun Parlour Broadcasting were Al Bruner, John Garton Sr., Lou Tomasi and Art Gadd. The station increased its power to 1,000 watts in 1960. Leamington ( ) is a municipality in Essex County, Ontario, Canada. The Canadian Communications Foundation (CCF) was a Canadian nonprofit organization which documented the history of broadcasting in Canada, particularly radio and television networks, programs and broadcasters. The organization was established in 1967 and announced that it would begin wrapping up its work in 2023. Since 1995, the organization distributed its collection via its website. The CCF was established in 1967 by the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Its mission: to "commemorate throughout Canada the development of electronic communications".
