CCP Guangdong Provincial Committee
The Guangdong Provincial Committee of the Chinese Communist Party is the provincial committee of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) in Guangdong Province. The CCP committee secretary is the highest ranking post in the province. The current secretary is Huang Kunming, a member of the CCP Politburo, who succeeded Li Xi on 28 October 2022. Guangdong Provincial Congress Of The Chinese Communist Party
) means "wide" or "vast", and has been associated with the region since the creation of Guang Prefecture in AD 226. The name "''Guang''" ultimately came from Guangxin ( zh, labels=no, first=t, t= , s=广信), an outpost established in Han dynasty near modern Wuzhou, whose name is a reference to an order by Emperor Wu of Han to "widely bestow favors and sow trust". The politics of Guangdong follows a dual party-government system like the rest of China's provinces. Wang Xi (; born August 1966) is a Chinese materials scientist and politician who is an academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, and currently vice governor of Guangdong. Zheng Yanxiong
Zheng Yanxiong (; born 25 August 1963) is a Chinese politician who served as director of the Hong Kong Liaison Office and secretary of the Hong Kong Work Committee of the Chinese Communist Party from January 2023 to May 2025. Zhang Shuofu (; born August 1965) is a Chinese politician, and the Communist Party Secretary of Guangzhou from 2018 to 2021.
