Club Baloncesto Tizona S.A.D., more commonly known as UBU Tizona by sponsorship reasons, is a professional basketball team based in Burgos, Castilla y León and plays in the Polideportivo El Plantío. The team currently plays in LEB Plata. History The club started in 2013 as the successor of CB Atapuerca, dissolved after failing to promote to Liga ACB, due to not fulfilling all the requirements. The name is a homage to former ''CB Espada Tizona'', the main club in Burgos during the 1970s and the 1980s, and was created as a Sociedad Anónima Deportiva with the aim to make easier a future promotion to ACB, goal achieved in its first season. Named Ford Burgos like its predecessor, the club promoted to Liga ACB in the 2013–14 season and did not fulfill all the necessary requirements to enter in the top flight, joining again the LEB Oro league. Liga Española de Baloncesto Aficionado (EBA), commonly known as Liga EBA, is a Spanish basketball championship that is the fourth tier level in the Spanish basketball league system, after the Liga ACB, LEB Oro, and LEB Plata. It is administered by the FEB. It was previously the Spanish second tier level competition from 1994 to 1996, the third tier level from 1996 to 2000, and the fifth tier level, from 2007 to 2009. 2019–20 LEB Plata Season
The 2019–20 LEB Plata season was the 20th season of the Spanish basketball third league. It started on 21 September 2019 with the first round of the regular season and was curtailed on 25 May 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Format changes On 8 June 2019, the General Assembly of the Spanish Basketball Federation agreed to expand the promotion playoffs to eight teams, being these from the second to the ninth qualified of the Group A1 of the second stage and the winner of the Group A2. Taylor Burton Coppenrath (born November 8, 1981) is an American former professional basketball player. Early life Coppenrath went to high school at St. Johnsbury Academy where he did not play for the varsity basketball team until his junior year. However, he went on to be the 2000 Vermont Player of the Year by Gatorade, the '' Burlington Free Press'' and ''USA Today''. College career Coppenrath played at University of Vermont from 2001 to 2005. After his redshirt freshman year, he led UVM to three straight America East Conference titles. The 2014–15 LEB Oro season is the 19th season of the Liga Española de Baloncesto, the Spanish basketball second division. It is named Adecco Oro as its sponsored identity. The season will start on October 3 and will end on May 15, 17 or 19 with the last game of the promotion playoffs finals. The Liga Española de Baloncesto, also known as LEB Oro, is the second basketball division of the Spanish basketball league system after the Liga ACB. It is run by the FEB. The Liga Española de Baloncesto is divided into two categories (the other one is the LEB Plata). The LEB league was founded in 1996 and is played under FIBA rules. It was renamed LEB Oro in 2007.
