Bárbara Domingos
Bárbara de Kassia Godoy Domingos (born 2 March 2000) is a Brazilian individual rhythmic gymnast. She is the 2023 Pan American Championships all-around champion, the 2023 Thiais Grand Prix ribbon gold medalist, and the first Brazilian rhythmic gymnast to qualify for the individual all-around final at the World Championships. She competed at the 2024 Paris Olympics in the rhythmic individual all-around and qualified for the final. Career Domingos took up gymnastics at age six. She began her training as an artistic gymnast, but switched to rhythmic gymnastics upon a coach's recommendation. Domingos competed at the 2016 Pan American Championships in Merida, winning team silver, silver in ribbon and bronze in hoop. The 2019 Pan American Games (), officially the XVIII Pan American Games () and commonly known as Lima 2019, were a multi-sport event governed by the Panam Sports Organization held in Lima, Peru from July 26 to August 11, 2019, with preliminary rounds in certain events having begun on July 24, 2019. These were the first Pan American Games to be held in Peru, and the seventh to be held in South America. Gymnastics At The 2024 Summer Olympics – Women's Rhythmic Individual All-around
The Women's rhythmic individual all-around competition at the 2024 Summer Olympics was held at the Adidas Arena in Paris, France, with the qualification taking place on 8 August and the final on 9 August. Qualification A National Olympic Committee (NOC) could enter up to 2 qualified gymnasts. A total of 24 quota places are allocated to women's rhythmic gymnastics. The first three spots were qualified from the 2022 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships, and the next 15 gymnasts from the 2023 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships; these were non-nominative spots given to the national federations, not the gymnast who won them. Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships
The Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships are the world championships for the sport of rhythmic gymnastics. The tournament is promoted and organized by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG). It is one of the three tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics officially organized by FIG, as well as the Rhythmic Gymnastics World Cup and the gymnastics competitions at the Olympic Games (in collaboration with the IOC and the federation of the country organising the Games). Rhythmic gymnastics is a sport in which gymnasts perform individually or in groups on a floor with an apparatus: hoop, ball, clubs, ribbon and rope. The sport combines elements of gymnastics, dance and calisthenics; gymnasts must be strong, flexible, agile, dexterous and coordinated. Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix
The Rhythmic Gymnastics Grand Prix circuit is an annual series of tournaments in rhythmic gymnastics open to gymnasts from all over the globe. The series consists of a number of stages in different countries in Europe and is the most important series of competitions outside of those organized by the Fédération Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG) or European Gymnastics, and the competitors include the world's top gymnasts. Each Grand Prix stage is held as an all-around qualification competition, followed by four apparatus finals with hoop, ball, clubs and ribbon. The final event in the circuit is commonly referred to as the ''Grand Prix Final''. The XII South American Games (Spanish language, Spanish: ''XII Juegos Suramericanos Asunción 2022'') was a multi-sport event held between 1–15 October 2022 in Asunción, Paraguay. The Games were organized by the South American Sports Organization, the Paraguayan Olympic Committee, the government of the Republic of Paraguay and the local Secretaria Nacional de Deportes, National Secretary of Sports.
