Bucchigiri Tokyo
is the second extended play by Japanese metalcore band Hanabie, released on December 4, 2024 by Epic Records Japan, a subsidiary of Sony Music Japan. It is the first record the band co-wrote with their current drummer Chika, who had joined during the latter stages of production of their previous release '' Reborn Superstar!''. The EP entered Billboard Japan's weekly album charts at #33 and peaked at #3 on Oricon's weekly rock album chart. The fifth track from the album ''Ito Okashi My Type'' ranked #1 on The Kerrang Chart. Background On August 7, 2024, Hanabie released ''Metamorphose!'' as a digital single. A new EP named ''Bucchigiri Tokyo'' was announced on the same day along with an accompanying national tour. Hanabie
Hanabie. (Japanese: 花冷え。) is a Japanese metalcore band from Tokyo, formed in 2015. The band consists of singer Yukina, guitarist/singer Matsuri, bassist Hettsu, and drummer Chika. Their music combines metalcore hardcore punk, and nu metal, with influences from electronica, J-pop and contemporary culture centered around Harajuku district in a style self-described as "Harajuku-core". The band was formed by four high school friends due to their shared admiration of Maximum the Hormone, as a part of their light music club activities. Initially a cover band, they soon transitioned into writing original music, self-producing their first single in 2016. After a period as an independent band, during which they released an album and an EP, they were signed by Epic Records Japan, a subsidiary of Sony Music Japan, in 2023. The Oricon Albums Chart is the Japanese music industry standard albums popularity chart issued daily, weekly, monthly and yearly by Oricon. Oricon originally published LP, CT, Cartridge and CD charts prior to the establishment of the Oricon Albums Chart on October 5, 1987. The Oricon Albums Chart's rankings are based on physical albums' sales. A Digital Albums Chart based on download sales was established on November 19, 2016. On December 24, 2018, Oricon introduced a Combined Albums Chart based on album-equivalent units. It counts physical sales, digital sales and streaming. 4 (four) is a number, numeral and digit. It is the natural number following 3 and preceding 5. It is a square number, the smallest semiprime and composite number, and is considered unlucky in many East Asian cultures. Evolution of the Hindu-Arabic digit Brahmic numerals represented 1, 2, and 3 with as many lines. 4 was simplified by joining its four lines into a cross that looks like the modern plus sign. The Shunga would add a horizontal line on top of the digit, and the Kshatrapa and Pallava evolved the digit to a point where the speed of writing was a secondary concern.
