Bryn Du
Bryn Du (meaning: ''Black Hill'') is a village in Anglesey, in north-west Wales. The village is situated about 1 mile from Rhosneigr and in the community of Llanfaelog. The village has a range of houses, some dating back to 1800s. The original Methodist Chapel in Bryn Du was built in the East side of the Village 1795. There is an ATM at the Spar shop on the main road through the village. Tŷ Croes railway station is just over a mile away. The village hosted several matches of the 2019 Inter Games Football Tournament, a replacement football tournament for the popular Island Games The Island Games (currently known as the NatWest International Island Games for sponsorship reasons) are biennial international multi-sports events organised by the International Island Games Association (IIGA). Ynys Môn (; officially called Anglesey until 1983) is a constituency of the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. The Ynys Môn Senedd constituency was created with the same boundaries in 1999 (as an Assembly constituency). Ynys Môn (Senedd Constituency)
Ynys Môn is a constituency of the Senedd. It elects one Member of the Senedd by the first past the post method of election. Also, however, it is one of nine constituencies in the North Wales electoral region, which elects four additional members, in addition to nine constituency members, to produce a degree of proportional representation for the region as a whole. It was represented from 1999 by Ieuan Wyn Jones, the former leader of Plaid Cymru. Jones resigned from the Assembly on 20 June 2013, triggering a by-election, which was held on 1 August 2013. Rhosneigr
Rhosneigr (; ) is a village in the south-west of Anglesey, north Wales. It is situated on the A4080 road some 10 km south-east of Holyhead, and is on the Anglesey Coastal Path. From the clock at the centre of the village can be seen RAF Valley and Mynydd Twr (Holyhead Mountain). The major towns of Holyhead and Llangefni and the city of Bangor are all within easy travelling distance. It is the most expensive place to live in Anglesey in terms of house prices. A community ( cy, cymuned) is a division of land in Wales that forms the lowest tier of local government in Wales. Welsh communities are analogous to civil parishes in England. Llanfaelog
Llanfaelog is a village and community in western Anglesey, Wales. It is situated some 13 kilometres south-east of Holyhead and 22 kilometres west of the city of Bangor. At the 2001 census, it had a population of 1,679, increasing to 1,758 at the 2011 Census. The community includes Rhosneigr, Bryn Du, and Pencarnisiog. The population of the village itself is less than 400. Geography Llanfaelog is bordered by Llanfihangel yn Nhowyn to the north, Bryngwran to the northeast, Pencarnisiog to the east, Bryn Du to the southeast, Aberffraw to the south, and Rhosneigr to the west. Tŷ Croes railway station serves Tŷ Croes on the isle of Anglesey, Wales which is served by Transport for Wales Rail and is a request stop. History The station, originally to be named Llanfaelog, was opened in November 1848 with a signal box being added in 1872. The box is located next to a level crossing which separates the two staggered platforms. 2019 Inter Games Football Tournament
The 2019 Inter Games Football Tournament was an association football tournament which was held between 15 and 22 June 2019 in Anglesey, Wales. It was organised due to the hosts of the 2019 Island Games, Gibraltar being unable to run a tournament due to lack of pitches. As football is one of the most popular sports at the games it was decided to hold the matches elsewhere, albeit with the results not officially part of the Island Games history. It was announced on 1 May 2018 that the Welsh island had been chosen as the preferred venue to host. In August of that year 12 clubs put forward their names to hold matches and the draw for both the men's and women's competitions were made on 19 November by Wayne Hennessey and Osian Roberts. The sponsors of the games were Anglesey based Huws Gray builders merchants.
