Bruno-Plache-Stadion
Bruno-Plache-Stadion is a multi-use stadium in Leipzig, Germany. It is currently used mostly for football matches and is the home stadium of 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig. Fans only call it "das Bruno" (the Bruno). The stadium has a capacity of 15,600 people, but it is only accredited for 7,000 people at the moment. It was opened in August 1922 by VfB Leipzig. When it was opened, it was the largest stadium owned by a club in Germany, with a proposed capacity of over 40,000 people. After the World War II, the stadium was home to SC Rotation Leipzig, later known as 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig, until 1990, before the club reverted to its old name VfB Leipzig. In 1992, the German Football Association prohibited games to be held for the 2. Fußball-Bundesliga due to security requirements not being met. The Leipzig Kings were an American football team in Leipzig, Germany, that played in the European League of Football (ELF). History The Leipzig franchise was announced along with Berlin Thunder and Cologne Centurions in March 2021, as part of the inaugural season of the European League of Football. In April, ELF commissioner Patrick Esume praised the potential of Leipzig for growing the sport and the athletes in the university, despite the relatively short time for the Kings to prepare for the first season. The Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band Reunion Tour was a lengthy, top-grossing concert tour featuring Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band that took place over 1999 and 2000. The tour was the first set of regular concerts given by Springsteen and the E Street Band in eleven years, since the 1988 Tunnel of Love Express and Human Rights Now! Tours, and followed two lengthy tours by Springsteen without the Band in the intervening years. Central Stadium (, ) was a stadium with a capacity of 120,000 in Leipzig which was initially used for matches of 1. FC Lokomotive Leipzig, SC Rotation Leipzig. About 1.5 million cubic metres of debris from the bombing of Leipzig in World War II, World War II bombing of Leipzig was used in the stadium's construction.
