Bromma () is a borough (''stadsdelsområde'') in the western part of Stockholm, Sweden, forming part of the Stockholm Municipality. Bromma is primarily made up of Bromma Parish and Västerled Parish. The fourth largest airport in Sweden and the third largest of the airports close to Stockholm, the Stockholm Bromma Airport, was first built in Bromma in 1936. The south-eastern part of Bromma is one of the richest areas in Stockholm. Västerort
Västerort (sometimes translated to ''West Stockholm'') is the western part of Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm County, Sweden. It also forms part of Stockholm urban area and of Stockholm Metropolitan Area. It constitutes the western suburban area within Stockholm's municipal borders. The eastern part of Västerort was incorporated by the ''City of Stockholm'' in 1916 and the western part in 1949. Stockholm Bromma Airport
Bromma Stockholm Airport (formerly Stockholm-Bromma Flygplats) is a Swedish domestic and minor international airport in Stockholm. It is located west-northwest of downtown Stockholm and is the closest to the city compared to the other commercial passenger airports in the area around Stockholm ( Arlanda, Skavsta and Västerås). Bromma is Sweden's third-busiest airport by passenger traffic and take-offs and landings as of 2015. Bromma Parish ( sv, Bromma församling) is a parish in Birka church district (''kontrakt'') in the Diocese of Stockholm, Sweden. The parish is located in Stockholm Municipality in Stockholm County. Bromma Kyrka (district)
Bromma kyrka is a round church in the borough Bromma in Stockholm, Sweden. The oldest parts of the church were built in the later 12th century as a fortress church, and the church is among Stockholm's oldest buildings. Today it has seven parts: roundhouse, nave, choir, sacristy, grave choir, weaponhouse and crypt. History Originally the church consisted of the round house and a choir on the east side. The nave and the sacristy were constructed in the mid 15th century, built in stone. In the 1480s Albertus Pictor or his pupils painted more than forty biblical church wall paintings, which were restored from overpaints by restorations in 1905–1906. Riksby
Riksby is a suburb within the district of Västerort in Stockholm, Sweden. It is located in the borough of Bromma. History The name "Riksby" is derived from Riksby gård, a farm once located in the parish of Bromma parish. The village of Riksby was mentioned for the first time in a parish letter from 1409, when it was known as Rodhersby. Stockholm Municipality bought the land in the year 1904. It was previously a part of the estate of Åkeshofs Castle (''Åkeshof Slott''). In 1930, Riksby became an allotment. Because of this the house owners moved from the old Fredhällskolonin on Kungsholmen to Riksby. The district was established in 1926. Judarn
Judarn is a small lake in Bromma, a western suburb of Stockholm, Sweden. Surrounded by forest and the Judarskogen nature reserve, it stretches between Åkeshov and Södra Ängby. Three other lakes are found nearby: Kyrksjön, Lillsjön, and Råcksta Träsk. The name is etymologically associated to ''ljuda'', the verb "to sound". Mariehäll
Mariehäll is a suburb of Stockholm and a district in the north-east of the Bromma borough of Stockholm Municipality. In 2019, Mariehäll had 9,024 inhabitants. Mariehäll was originally part of the farm Bällsta. At the end of the 19th century Mariehäll became an industrial area, owing to its proximity to the then recently founded suburb Sundbyberg. An area of detached homes south-west of Mariehäll, then called ''Bällsta villastad'', came to be included within Mariehäll. By 2003 the number of inhabitants were 1,368. In the 2000s, a high-density residential area called Annedal was built in northern Mariehäll, increasing its population manifold. Abrahamsberg
Abrahamsberg is a residential district in the Västerort section of Stockholm Municipality, Sweden, and part of the Bromma borough. It is bordered by Riksby, Stora Mossen, Ålsten, Olovslund and Åkeslund and is served by the Abrahamsberg metro station.
