Brightline West
Brightline West is a proposed privately run high-speed rail route linking Las Vegas Valley and Rancho Cucamonga in the Greater Los Angeles area through the California high desert. The line will connect with existing rail at Rancho Cucamonga station of Metrolink's San Bernardino Line, a commuter rail line in Southern California. The project is intended to provide an alternative to air and automobile travel between Southern California and Las Vegas, a popular vacation spot. Construction on the route is expected to begin in early 2023 pending project permits finalization from Federal Railroad Administration in March 2023, and revenue service is planned to begin in 2026. The line was developed starting in 2005 as DesertXpress and has passed through several developers and investors. Victor Valley Station
Victor Valley is the southern portion of the phase 1 Brightline West rail line running to Las Vegas Boulevard in the Las Vegas Valley and future extensions continuing south to Palmdale, Rancho Cucamonga, and Los Angeles. The station will be at the north end of the town of Apple Valley near Interstate 15 and Dale Evans Parkway. Construction permits were acquired in March 2020 by Brightline, construction was expected to begin in the second half of 2021, and the station is expected to open in the second half of 2024. The area will include a maintenance facility for all Brightline west equipment, with a train staging facility, as well as the Brightline West station. Victor Valley is the planned terminus of the initial phase 1 route with planned extensions to Rancho Cucamonga and a proposed extension to Los Angeles Union Station. Brightline
Brightline (reporting mark BLFX) is an inter-city rail route between Miami and West Palm Beach, Florida that runs on track owned by Florida East Coast Railway. Brightline is the only privately owned and operated intercity passenger railroad in the United States. Its development started in March 2012 as All Aboard Florida by Florida East Coast Industries, a Florida real estate developer owned by Fortress Investment Group. Construction began in November 2014 and the route opened in January 2018. An extension from West Palm Beach to Orlando International Airport is expected to open in 2023, with additional spots being planned. Hesperia is a city in San Bernardino County, California, United States. It is located north of downtown San Bernardino in Victor Valley and surrounded by the Mojave Desert.
