Brewmaxx
brewmaxx is a process control system for the brewing industry. The various process steps of a brewery can be automated, controlled and monitored via the software components of the brewmaxx range. Fields of application Due to its scalability, brewmaxx is suited to applications ranging from single station to multi-server systems. It is used in: * small breweries (up to 50 hectolitres per brew) * medium-sized breweries (up to 1 million hectolitres per annum) * large breweries (more than 1 million hectolitres per annum) The main fields of application include the automation of breweries (see brewery) and/or fermenting and storage cellars. Weihenstephan Standards
The Weihenstephan Standards ("Weihenstephaner Standard" in German), also referred to as "WS" in shorthand, are communication interfaces for machine data acquisition. The standards were developed by a working group of machine manufacturers, plant suppliers, IT system vendors and technologists, under the guidance of the Technical University of Munich (TUM) at the Faculty of Food Packaging Technology in Weihenstephan, Germany. Weihenstephan libraries have been developed for production data acquisition in bottling and packaging plants (WS Pack), food industry plants (WS Food), in the bakery industry (WS Bake), and for processes within the brewing industry (WS Brew). The Köstritzer brewery is one of the oldest producers of Schwarzbier (black beer) in Germany. It is in Bad Köstritz, close to Gera in Thuringia.
